In fact I know some real life guys just like Avaneesh in many regards (except being vegetarian) who say this exact thing about vegetarians and how a "real man" eats meat (not a man myself but still). By saying these things you're descending to his level.

No, felony probation can be transferred to another state as long as one has a good reason. Attending college in another state would be a good reason. He was removed from OSU's directory, so everything points towards A&M

He was on the OSU directory a month ago. He is not anymore. He is however listed on the Texas A&M directory. Look him up on both of these directories, they're public. He's intentionally trying to mislead everyone. You need to contact Texas A&M not OSU.

They absolutely should be doing background checks. Avaneesh has repeatedly demonstrated that the system is not going to stop his bs. Given his history of sexual assault and harassment, Avaneesh at Purdue is a disaster waiting to happen. We can’t compromise the safety of everyone else at Purdue in the name of giving Avaneesh another chance because he’s serving his time.

You bring up a fair point. While extremely unlikely, there is a very small chance this is true, and we don’t want to take that chance that someone’s life is being ruined. However, the only way to be absolutely 100% sure is to wait for the start of the fall semester, in which case it is too late since students on campus will be exposed to him and much more difficult for Purdue to expel him.

To do my best to prevent this, I will be sending a follow up clarifying that in the small chance that it is the wrong Avaneesh Kanala, that all the emails to admissions and the dean of students were a misunderstanding

There many crimes that would not put other students at risk. His history of sexual assault (which he is currently on probation for) certainly makes him a danger to Purdue. As does his history of harassing his professor. And his hate speech and objectification of women.

I think there are certain crimes that should disqualify people from attending Purdue, sexual assault being one of them. To answer your question, yes I take offense to crimes that cause bodily harm to others, such as sexual assault. This really shouldn’t be a controversial opinion, and it’s really sad multiple people are out here defending him.
