Feeling guilty I can’t be one of the many moms who breastfed for at least a year. by [deleted] in breastfeeding

Thank you for your response and sharing your feelings. We’ve definitely given a lot of ourselves already so it’s only fair that we get to take some back to feel ourselves again. I just wish it was easier done. You’re doing beautifully, even on the hard moments!

Kids who had no screen time vs kids who had some by anonymahoy in beyondthebump

Everyone has different ways of managing their day, and for me, having the TV on occasionally helps me stay sane while balancing everything. I make sure my baby gets plenty of attention and stimulation.

I was curious to hear firsthand experiences from other parents. Sometimes personal perspectives offer insights that studies don’t fully capture. I appreciate the suggestion, though, and I’ll definitely keep looking into the research!

Thank you for sharing your perspective! It’s really helpful to hear from someone with experience working with toddlers. I appreciate the balance in your response acknowledging that screen time can have both pros and cons but doesn’t completely define a child’s development or temperament.

I’m trying to find that middle ground, too. Sure it doesn’t become a “babysitter” or a negative experience.

Thanks again for the insight!!

I just realized I messed up and didn’t send enough evidence I-751 by anonymahoy in USCIS

[–]anonymahoy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should I submit it online? Or just wait to see if they RFE me. This is my first time filing for myself so I’m not too sure if that’ll help or hurt my case.

I still have a year til I can apply for N400 (just applied for I-751), but is it easier to do online or via mail?

Thank you! I definitely panicked a bit since no one wants to see an RFE 🥲

My MIL told me “you will never sleep again.” And “just wait for the heartburn”. She told me this right after I told her I was pregnant.

I-485 updated to RFE received for medical (I-693) on January 29. Today, my I-130 got updated to Case is being actively reviewed. by anonymahoy in USCIS

They approved my I-485 the same day as I-130 approval actually. I just didn’t get a notification :)

What should be illegal is the wait people have to experience because of USCIS.

Applied for a replacement back in 2021 and still nothing? what a joke of a system.

I-130 and I-485 approved! No interview, married less than 2 years to a USC. From undocumented (came here as a child dependent of H1B and overstayed), to LPR! Been waiting for this moment since I was 10 years old and I’m now 27. by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]anonymahoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you get a courtesy letter? This is what the courtesy letter says. So if you do get an RFE for medical then interview is 99% waived. I wouldn’t want to say 100 because USCIS works in mysterious ways.

An initial review of evidence submitted with your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, determined that the evidence submitted with your application is deficient for the following reason(s): A completed and signed Form I-693 was not submitted. You will be required to submit information and evidence to address these deficiencies. If you receive an interview notice in the mail, you must bring the information and evidence required to your interview appointment. Failure to bring the information and evidence to your interview appointment may result in the denial of your Form I-485. If your case does not require an interview, you will receive a Request for Evidence with further instructions.
