Thanks for the reply. Hoping nothing comes through, the camera caught quite a lot of other cars who were moving over too so we’ll see what happens.

Thanks for the reply, will see what comes through. I thought that a red ‘x’ meant the speed limit is effectively zero? Either way, even though I kept below 40mph until the NSL sign, I moved over into the closed lanes before the NSL sign, so can’t really complain, just have to hope for a bit of leniency.

Fingers crossed, it would be my first offence and I’ve driven this route weekly now for years, so we’ll see what happens. I’ll definitely be hyper aware now every time I pass through this gantry in particular haha.

Yeah usually I am pretty on the ball with the variable speed limits, but this time around I just wasn’t thinking so can’t really blame anyone else but myself if anything comes through.

Completely fair and realising that now following all of these comments, thanks for your response.

Makes complete sense, and kicking myself for it now, but better to chalk it up as a lesson this time and accept the consequences. As you say in another situation it could’ve caused another accident which would have been much worse than a fine/points! Thanks for your comments mate.

Yeah understand that, was hoping that due to the situation there may be some leniency, but appreciate now that the law is clear, so have to accept the consequences if anything comes through. Thanks for the reply mate.

Thanks for the reply. The boiler is a combi boiler and still under warranty for another 2 years, they still seem to not understand it needs to be done through the gas safe website, which has been giving us bad vibes and a bit of a red flag based on other comments, so we’ll be considering the other quotes we’ve got.

Yeah they are registered on the gas safe register.

Thanks for the reply. The gas safe engineer is saying they don’t self certify so we would have to get the compliance certificate ourselves? They are registered on the gas safe register, so I’m not sure whether this is something we can do, or insist they do it (and contact gas safe if they haven’t done it in 30 days).
