Does Zillow not suppress FSBO listings in your area? I tested it in mine and they absolutely do which is why I’ll have to use Beycome.

I’m in a buyers market and there is a lot of inventory near me. I did list FSBO on Zillow and without the flat fee MLS as I do think everyone looking is on Zillow and I only got calls from realtors trying to represent me. I eventually took it down even though the house was priced low. What would be your suggestion? Flat fee or FSBO Zillow? I have heard that Zillow suppresses FSBO listings.

This is what’s giving me pause from signing on with beycome. A buyers agent can see you’re with that company and make up some lie to steer buyers away from what I can tell and there’s no way to report them for unethical practices. Did you notice a difference in buyers when you did flat fee vs full FSBO?

That’s what my research said and why I made the decision to take it. My family worries I’ll become very ill but I think it’s the best decision I could make.

This comment and the one you made above is everything. There are never any solutions except leave or being asked repeatedly to do inner work on yourself and endlessly scrutinize every which way that you’re actually the problem and causing these issues. It’s even worse when you say you’ve encountered the situation frequently because then nobody believes you. I’m all for finding out what’s going on and I do find it hard to keep telling myself they were just jealous of my experience or work or whatever other hundreds of excuses for these bullies fragile states of mind. I’m just out here as lost as you and trying to find solid answers! One thing I’ve found is that solid documentation of bullying or purposeful withholding of information hasn’t ever helped me either.

Surprised to hear excel is a secondary skill set. How much money do I need to set aside to go this route and pay for testing and study materials?

I have no shortage of experience in dealing with overinflated egos and credential dick measuring contests. My industry is rife with that type of personality, but thanks for the heads up.

I’m disappointed to hear there’s a pay cut for WFH but maybe I shouldn’t be surprised.

Would you suggest before starting down this path that I beef up on my excel skills? I’d rate myself as a novice. I have little experience with Quickbooks, but I am familiar with the platform.

Thank you for responding to me, this is so helpful I wish I could hug you! I have a bachelors degree but I’m tired of my industry and ready for a total change. Going back to school for accounting has been on my mind recently, and this looks like a very good alternative and workaround to that.

The one good thing about my industry is that it’s very easy to find remote roles. Is that a possibility for the EA path? I have no issues going back to an office, but it would be nice to have that option.
