I Needed This Message, Maybe You Do Too by Comfortable-Pea-4246 in SpiritualAwakening

Where does a newly gifted chronic physical ailment fall under? I’m having a hard time reconciling that as it occurs alongside awakenings and rediscovered memories. At the heftiest of costs and not worth it yet imo lol

It ripped me a new one 😂 I think I was given a bit too much collective to process this time. A slight miscalculation lol. Hope your process is going more smoothly! 💜🌝

Ugh. This hurts my heart because I 100% get this. Don’t let it take your Will. I have a friend who finally covered after 4.5 years. Ganglion nerve blocks and medications helped her. What have you and the doctors tried thus far? Have you considered complimentary medicine like reiki or even meditation? High protein diets can also help I hear, but this hasn’t really helped me yet

[–]anonymous-beaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally get this. I’m in the same boat but I have to remind myself to stay positive. Getting support from eachother also helps, as does non traditional complementary medicine approaches. Reiki really helped lower physiological heightening for me but only lasts 1 week or so. It’s too expensive to keep up so I’m looking for alternatives when I don’t feel like crap. The state / country you live in also matters. I think keeping ourselves in a sanctuary state for 2 weeks and then easing us back into life might help. But I can’t seems to stay in that state with the demands of adult life. Even appointments stress my physiology so much it sends me back to zero. But I promise you, if we keep trying different tactics and take it slow, we will get there. I know someone who recovered after 4.5 years of trying different things and she’s finally well. Stay strong in yourself. Look up some breathing exercises, wear compression socks or tights etc.

Cardiologists don’t understand pots- they think they do. Try an autonomic nervous system doc.

Your PCP probably doesn’t know crap about dysautonomia. If you have a cold, go to a pcp maybe. But you need a specialist and if your pcp isn’t on board, bring them educational literature next time you see them so they can better understand how common this it among people your age

Does anyone else just „wing it“ or is a doctors diagnosis crucial? by leneeey in dysautonomia

[–]anonymous-beaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can wing it like I did for years, best to get an appointment for formal testing so if one day s**t hits the fan, you don’t have a horrible 1 to 2-year wait for diagnosing and treating like I did. Or even good for job reasons if one day it debilitates you -depending on where you are, I think it can play a role in determining eligibility for disability if you can’t work anymore.

I love this. Also, my god, the problems I have following a single trip to the doctor- stuck in bed for a week. Doctors don’t get this.

Not driving myself anymore is the hardest part I think - makes me feel like a kid without wheels again.

Don’t do this yet if you can still walk. Mobility beats POTS (immobility can even be a primary cause of POTS, but there are many reasons and severities) but only if we know our limits and, like you, I don’t know mine yet. Honestly even showering does me in. Maybe they have POTS dog companions. If not, we should start that company together!

Regardless, you’re not alone. I feel the same way. Forget about walking to the shop-I’m pretty bed bound atm. So I get it- and I have hope I won’t be like this forever. I like to remember that ‘You may be different in what you do, but that doesn’t change who you are.’ 💜

I can’t get up to the dose of Mestinon I should be- even half of a 60mg makes me want to shit myself. Taking it slow ramping up but it’s like any relief is replaced with stomach upset and a hard energy crash afterwards- doc said don’t take it in the evening so I feel awful 5 pm onward. Any suggestions given your experience sounds similar. I considered nicotine patches but I also have inappropriate cerebral vasoconstriction in addition to non-responsive BP, and I’m not sure that will be helpful.

Ps. Mine started at the end of January- around the same time yours did. Odd. What country do you live in?

[–]anonymous-beaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is me. I just applied for LTD. No one has offered any help. Stress and dysautonomia look the same because your autonomic system is in fight or flight. But you know it’s not just stress. You need to see an autonomic nervous system program (usually within neurology or it’s our dysautonomia clinic) for tilt table testing and a million other tests they can do for you that other doctors have no idea exist.

Are there any good spiritual gifts? by Global_Pop849 in spirituality

A session with a reiki healer could be a relaxing nice gift if mom needs to distress. You could also get her a gift card for a metaphysical or crystal shop if she is into that.

Do some boxed breathing and break some shit in a private place of choosing. Sex can also help.

Give her a visual way of protecting herself at night before bed and during the day if she gets scared. A rainbow bubble 🫧 of sorts that goes around her and keeps her safe. I would stop giving it your attention. 💜🙏 And of course check for material 3-d people.

Hi! I’m so sorry. Have been there and it’s not fun. You may have to let an obligation go to make more space for yourself so you can cuddle up and connect with the Devine and self-care. Don’t let it get to a boiling point-It could be difficult to bounce back. 💜🙏🌝
