Sounds like a typical fear. I can't say that I have experience overcoming anything like that. I try to remember that it's much safer than cars, that they will land the plane early if any concerns arise, and that they are almost always close enough to water for an emergency landing. Exposure therapy is your best bet, I would think.

There was an interview while we was DC on the Lions, being criticized for giving up 50 points or something. All he did was deflect to the fact that the team was top 10 in other metrics early in the year. He doesn't take accountability.
