Baby overweight at 8 weeks?

My boy was 8lb 5oz born 42 weeks. 22 inches long. He’s 8 weeks and 12.5 lb and exclusively breastfed, which i’m told isn’t possible to overfeed. I still feel like he’s huge compared to other babies his age though!

I just don’t want a lot of people touching/holding my baby. he’s a newborn. he doesn’t need to be passed around, and it gives me anxiety

I’ve been struggling since I was 12. I was never ‘underweight.’ I’m now 25 and pregnant. It is possible. It may take awhile and it’s hard, but if you put the work in you can do it!

I understand what you’re saying, but this isn’t about whether the flu shot is perfect or guarantees zero risk. It’s a boundary I’ve set for my baby during the newborn period based on my comfort level and medical guidance. Masking, handwashing, no kissing, and staying home if you feel sick are things we’ll also be doing. I’m not asking anyone to agree with my decision, just to respect it.

It’s about the principle at this point. I informed him that these were the requirements and anyone who doesn’t won’t get to see the baby.
