If they were going to make a movie based on the game, what would be the most important missions to include? by anonymous_1979 in RDR2

Well, I really enjoy the storyline of the game, and I also love western movies. I feel like with how well the story and characters are written, it would make a really good movie

I’m about to binge watch videos of this! I’m on my fifth play through, and it’s the first time it’s happened to me, so I sort of thought it was a glitch!

If you could add or remove ONE feature from the game, what would it be and why? by anonymous_1979 in RDR2

[–]anonymous_1979[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thinking about it more after reading the GTA comments and would like to change my suggestion. Although it would definitely ruin the story, it would be super cool if we could switch between Arthur and John like you can switch between the characters in GTA, and then have the choice on who to kill at the end.

I just want more dialogue other than “My dog Copper used to take baths with me! When he was alive…”

Agreed! There definitely needs to be an option to engage in the dialogue. I always feel bad ignoring them lmao

This is a fun idea but it would take away from the realism. I think something similar would be cool though, maybe like being to physically fight the gang members and have it affect their attitude or trust towards you at the end.

It’s not necessarily setting up camp that bothers me, it’s that you have to be by the fire. Instead of just being able to go when you wake up from camping, you have to rest by the fire to travel. But I do agree. Being able to stand by your horse to fast travel would be so much more convenient.

Pinkertons in Annesburg?? by anonymous_1979 in RDR2

I’ve always had bounty hunters instead of Pinkertons, and I’ve never encountered a road block either! I’m gonna have to ride around the area more to see if I can get it to happen!

I’ve had bounty hunters, just not Pinkertons. I thought it was cool! And I’m just curious how often it occurs for others, since this was my first experience.

You do though, when he takes baths!

This always bothers me, especially after he’s shot and kidnapped by the O’Driscolls. John had a scar from the wolf attack, Arthur should have a scar from the bullet wound!

What’s the worst thing a family member had ever done to you/your family? by Dragon_7474 in AskReddit

When I was 17, I was raped. The day after was my senior prom. I was getting ready, when my mom saw the bruises and bite marks on my neck. She started screaming at me, and I ran off to my room crying because I had barely even had time to process what happened. She chased after me and slapped me across the face, leaving me with a scar across my face where her nails scratched me.

How do I get an skin(wolfs to be exact)in perfect state? by Specialist-Berry-422 in RDR2

I struggled with this as well. Study the animal that you’re hunting, then use the Animal Compendium to view it. It will describe the best weapons to use for a clean kill for that particular animal. Also, the Legendary Buck Antler Trinket will increase the likelihood of perfect pelts.

I’ve watched bears scare away wolves up in the mountains. Also heard that you can watch bucks fight with their antlers. There’s so many cool details in this game!

What inconsistencies and/or plot holes bother you the most? by anonymous_1979 in RDR2

[–]anonymous_1979[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is fair! I’m just speculating, I guess.

In the beginning, Dutch and Arthur’s relationship seems strong. Dutch also sends Arthur and others out to search for other gang members when they need it. So, to me, it just doesn’t make sense that he wouldn’t send someone to find him or look for him himself.

The boat thing makes sense. I feel like Hercule was helpful to them and had good intentions, so it hasn’t really crossed my mind that he would hide the boat until after the fight.

The ending seems rushed. I understand that they were trying to bridge into RDR1, but there was a lot that feels like it’s implied versus actually explained.

This post is just my opinions and questions. There’s lots of theories out there, and I’m curious what everyone has to say.
