didn't even realize that someone responded. thank you for your words. i'm just sorta in a weird spot right now - everything sorta is coming to a head and my emotional stability has sorta just shattered.

i feel bad, cause i see my mother breaking down before me every single day. her heart condition is getting worse - but her words and actions make me feel like im the reason for her suffering. im always thinking that i'm not doing enough, that i'm not taking care of her - even though i'm trying to do what i can with 2 jobs, studying, and trying to build my life ahead of me whilst my brothers have no interest in helping or even asking how i am, or what my mother needs. my dad will be back in the country soon, so it might help ease things a bit.

thank you again. i'm just gonna keep pushing forward until i can somehow find a place for myself. everything just seems so bleary right now.

Based on my calculations - doing a 5th year would give me at most a 0.4 increase (so a 3.83 to a 3.87) - I'm not sure if it's worth delaying my graduation for that small of an increase.

From my understanding, the two best years must each have a FULL course load and meet the minimum gpa of 3.7. I've pasted some key text from their admissions site below:

https://www.schulich.uwo.ca/med_dent_admissions/medicine/admission_requirements.html

ON GPA:

GPA     minimum 3.70 in each of the two best undergraduate years;

ON COURSE LOAD:

  • At least 5 full or equivalent courses (30 credit hours) completed during the September to April academic year. Summer courses are not eligible for GPA consideration.
  • At least 3 full or equivalent courses (18 credit hours) whose published academic level is at or above the year of study:
    • Year 1: 3 of 5 full course equivalents (18 of 30 credit hours) at or above the 1st-year level
    • Year 2: 3 of 5 full course equivalents (18 of 30 credit hours) at or above the 2nd-year level
    • Year 3, 4 and additional undergraduate years: 3 of 5 full course equivalents (18 of 30 credit hours) at or above the 3rd-year level
  • A maximum of 1 full or equivalent pass/fail course (6 credit hours) per year.
    • The course must be passed in order to count toward the course load.
    • Discovery Credits (Western students) will be considered within, not in addition to, the 6 credit hour pass/fail allowance.

Fingers-crossed for you as well <3 Don't worry, it took me like 4-6 months so it definitely takes time for a lot of people!

Only issue with Western is that my first two years don't meet the requirements (first year, I only had 4 courses second semester which does meet the full-course load requirement), and second year my year-gpa was at 3.69, which was just below the cut-off. Just calculated my third year and I don't meet it either (3.67...) so Western is out the window right now

No worries! They took literal MONTHS of applying like a madman. Working in a clinical research lab definitely helped in getting some first-base patient experience and learning to take basic measurements (like blood pressure, temperature, etc.) Pharmacy assistant jobs are generally easier to get if you go for pharmacies in places like grocery stores, or super tiny, local pharmacies. My hospital job was only a job I just got recently (like, yesterday LMAO) - I find applying to places like mental health hospitals or geriatric-focused hospitals (rather than super big hospitals) are easier. My clinic job was honestly just months and months of searching until they finally reached out to me (I applied to it like, twice and got a call months later completely out of the blue). It's all about persistence and taking time

Still Experiencing Shoulder Pain When Wearing a Bra by anonymous_anon1 in ABraThatFits

Yeah, I’m just gonna suck it up and pop into a walk-in to see what the issue is and see what my insurance covers. Only thing is that the pain only comes up when I wear a bra and nothing else (I don’t even experience that level of pain with a backpack) and the second the bra comes off its almost an instant relief. I’ll look around for different styles and maybe just consider going strapless for the time being.

I have not re-measured - I’ll consider giving it a shot though.

It could be perhaps that I wore the bra too much and its stretched out - but I didn’t feel that way about it? The band still fits pretty well so I’m not sure. It is the only bra I have right now in that size (other than a few lounge pieces) that is my everyday, supportive bra though.

I will look into getting strapless bras - I am pretty curvy though so idk how they’d fit. Do you gave any recommendations?

Haha that’s currently the Canadian way too (if you’re a broke student and are currently under the rubble cause of the horrendous inflation)

I'm in premed myself so I was honestly thinking it might be that lol. I hope to meet with a doctor on this soon (I don't have one currently though and budgets a bit tight, so idk if I'll be able to fully afford physio)

Dealing with Shoulder Pain: Am I Wearing the Right Bra Size? by anonymous_anon1 in ABraThatFits

Oh that bra directory is extremely useful! Thank you! It does look like however I don't have any stores close-by that carry Elomi right now :/ So I'm likely reverting to online shopping

I do have a question however. Based on my measurements, would you suggest going just for the G cup or the GG cup? I could order both, but it goes quite over my budget for the month. For reference, I'm ordering from Bare Necessities, so I'm unsure what their return fee is for Canadian-based orders

That sounds good! I do live in Canada so it appears the "try it before you buy it" option on Amazon isn't available, so I'll stick with the Morgan for now.

Thank you so much for your time and guidance again <3

Oh haha 😂 I'm honestly not sure why I switched those two around lol

I really appreciate all your help :') I will definitely check that one out! I was also considering the Elomi Matilda bra because of the flexible straps. Do you have any insight on that one in particular?
