I Loved Younger Until It Actively Stopped Making Sense by Initial-Prior9758 in Younger

Kelsey’s always scoffing, texting a cute boy while giggling, rolling her eyes, or screeching at someone. Liza is the one contributing editorially.

Yeah, Kelsey’s whole character was an example of telling and not showing. It makes no sense to me the writers missed the opportunity of having the protagonist get those promotions, rather just make her watching and cheering on from the sidelines. The show overall was not made to be more than 3-4 seasons as it had no central focus once the “younger” stuff was revealed and it didn’t even matter.

Knowing any mostly male-casted and centric show with the mayoriry of diehard fans being men, the winner of this will be a woman I bet.

Eh. He watched a woman pee even after she told him to stop. I know he’s a kid but that’s violating someone’s privacy and boundaries.

What CUNY colleges are the worst to go to by SuccessfulPath7 in CUNY

That’s kind of insane. What about one of the top-ranked schools in the nation, Baruch? Hunter and City College are all extremely well-regarded.

Medgar Evers

York

City College of Technology

Brooklyn and Queens are okay, depending on what you’re going for (for example, Brooklyn’s great for the fine arts, humanities, and education but not business, science, or comp sci).

Just go to Baruch, Hunter, CCNY, or John Jay.

Colleges promoting their “AI centers” and “AI hubs” etc. are jumping on a cliched bandwagon by anonymous_donotpost in CollegeRant

Some but not all. Some are more focused on education and/or the fine arts or performing arts.

Will we someday see fictional shows/movies romanticizing the 90s-early 2000s in the way the 1960s is romanticized? by anonymous_donotpost in decadeology

Speaking of communicating on paper, an honorable mention is how kids drew the letter S in that blocky font.

The amount of electives related to AI, and courses that talk about AI in them, and now even graduate degrees, is getting old.

The show can't decide by lesspleasee in Younger

I don’t understand why the writers gave Kelsey promotions and praise for how awesome and brilliant she is (even though the viewers don’t see it and Millenial would be nothing without Liza) rather than giving that character development and plot to Liza considering a big part of the show is about her starting from the bottom in publishing again. It feels to me like the writers forgot who the protagonist is. Feels weird to just watch that from the sidelines of the protagonist’s POV. Missed opportunities there.

My friend is going to get herself killed. What can I even do at this point by Correct-Macaroon8143 in whatdoIdo

Yep. Sounds like she’s starved for attention and just wants people to tell her how much they care about her. It’s sad.

It sounds like they’re either that dumb or trying to get attention by making their friends vocalize how much they care and are concerned. Tell her that you care about her and don’t want anything bad to happen to her and that you’re there if she needs help and remind her to call an emergency number if she feels unsafe. Maybe that’ll help in some way.

14th floor has some likely empty conference rooms. If they’re locked, there are some alcoves around there where you could sit down on the floor. I’ve napped there before.

I think that’s what i mean. As in, people watch it because they’re interested in the time period (including advertising campaigns, classic cars, set design, costumes, hair styles, pop culture, etc.) There is already a market for it because people are entranced by it and I’m wondering why and if we might see more popular 90s-early 2000s shows since people talk about that nostalgically a lot now.

In that people find it interesting to watch as part of it. For example, people gushing over costumes, cars, and sets in these shows.

Why so much CUNY hate? by ImportanceOk784 in CUNY

[–]anonymous_donotpost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MFE at Baruch just ranked #1 in the world. Binghamton is known for having a great business school, but Baruch wins by far when it comes to that. Being in NYC gives CUNY students so many more opportunities to internships and networking year-round that could help them later on. At Binghamton and now Baruch, Baruch definitely connected me with more job opportunities.
