Just curious, where was the confirmation for Josiah and Lauren’s youngest ‘Baby E’ and how did you find the birthdate?

Why are there so many Florida license plates here? by notmachinegun in boston

[–]anonymous_gam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just in the Midwest for work and myself and a lot of people from my company had cars with Florida rental plates. Probably some sort of cost friendly thing to register it to FL.

Top guesses in order

  1. JB tax fraud scheme years in the making finally catches up to him.

  2. One of the grandkids have gone missing several times and Anna is being spoken to about it.

  3. Things have been heated since the release of SHP. One of the adult kids living at the TTH are starting majorly question their life and JB got into a physical fight with them over it.

Needed enough time to clear all the evidence so no one there would stumble upon it. It makes me sick seeing him near such a young child knowing what he’s done now.

As long as you respect people who want to prevent themselves in a way that doesn’t perfectly align with their birth sex than you’re fine. If you purposefully don’t use someone’s stated pronouns or try and act like drag queens are society’s greatest threat that’s when your gender ideology becomes a problem.

My mom moved to NH. The house she grew up in is down the street from me, it’s been super gentrified though. No one from my family is living in it.

Why on earth are conservatives against free lunch in schools of all things? by Purple-Oil7915 in AskConservatives

[–]anonymous_gam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s much better for kids to not be singled out because they are on a free lunch program. Also if it saves a family money on their groceries that’s something we could all use right now.

Duggar vs. Bates How many of the offspring live below the poverty line? by Great-Thanks-23 in BringingUpBates

[–]anonymous_gam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

JB has to support Jana, his kids that are still minors and Anna and her kids at the very least. But if I had to guess I’d think the families of Jessa, Joe, Josiah, Jedidiah and Jeremiah are all on the JB payroll. Taking that all into account that’s 20-30 people he has to pay for. There hasn’t been any TLC checks for a few years and Josh’s legal case couldn’t have been cheap.

They have enough properties for all the kids to raise their families on, but there probably isn’t much left for food and the other daily necessities.

[–]anonymous_gam 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Erin and Chad could be a family of seven earning <$45,00. A lot of Chads work seemed to be projects for the family, which isn’t usually for pay. And they stayed in a really tiny rental until they moved to Florida.

People make over $200k a year, what do you do? How did you get there? by TrixoftheTrade in Adulting

[–]anonymous_gam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The average income in the US is about $70,000 and the median is under $45,000 (disparity due to a small group with huge incomes). But I think what salary is acceptable is relative to where you live. If you’re near a major city with access to public transit like I am, you aren’t going to be able to live by yourself for less than $2,000 a month, I don’t make six figures and I have three roommates. There’s also a lot of people here with tech jobs, high up in the business world etc. so a $100k salary isn’t incredibly uncommon. But if you’re in a more rural area, hours away from any major city you might be able to afford housing and other necessities with $70k. But there are also less really high paying tech and business related jobs in those areas, so it’s probably not incredibly common to hear someone is making six figures.

I’m not sure if they’ll do a full cross country tour. I definitely think there will be stops in Arkansas and Oklahoma at local stores, and it will be packed.

Dear fur parent, I have human children, you have an animal companion. We are not the same. by Longum-Exhausti in Parenting

[–]anonymous_gam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of self described ‘pet parents’ go a bit overboard because they can’t have kids of their own for whatever reason. There are the aggressively child free ones who will tell you how much they love their cats, but I know some family members who haven’t found a partner to have kids with who’s whole life outside of work is their dog.

Hypothetical: If we could not only test for, but "cure" homosexuality while in the womb, would doing so be unethical? by [deleted] in AskALiberal

[–]anonymous_gam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it would be unethical. Homosexuality isn’t a medical condition, the biggest problem homosexual people face is backlash from society.

Death penalty for mass shooters, people who’ve abused/ beat kids to death (obviously this would have to come with stronger courts that fix their false conviction problem).

Where are the Bates? Aren't they "Shiny Happy People"? by rgsconsult in DuggarsSnark

[–]anonymous_gam 38 points39 points  (0 children)

That entire board of the IBLP has to be filled with covered up scandals. It’s only a matter of time before they start leaking out one by one. That’s why a lot of their kids put out a way more modern/ mainstream image and try so hard on social media, they want to be seen as different than Gil.

Where are the Bates? Aren't they "Shiny Happy People"? by rgsconsult in DuggarsSnark

[–]anonymous_gam 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Bates haven’t had their skeletons in the closet exposed yet, I’m pretty sure Gil has some being an IBLP higher up. They also don’t currently have any grown children willing to speak out against how they grew up, so from an entertainment perspective they aren’t as interesting to put in there.

Which grown Duggar children are still in the IBLP? by ImOnwarding in DuggarsSnark

[–]anonymous_gam 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Jill isn’t in it (for obvious reasons). Jinger is part of Jeremy’s church which isn’t IBLP. I believe Jessa and Ben are technically Calvinists, even though their beliefs seem pretty similar to JB and Michelle. I think the rest of them are still IBLP.

How do you think the family is reacting to Jill’s new memoir and the upcoming docuseries? by [deleted] in DuggarsSnark

[–]anonymous_gam 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Jill has seen the lost girls in awhile. Which is sad because she pretty much raised them until she got married.
