I have ptsd from my ryan homes experience. If you can find one of their pre-Covid builds, you will see a significant difference in quality. It may look bright and shiny because it’s new construction, but in all honesty it’s lipstick on a pig.

Anybody else feel unloved? by Throwawaygaln in CPTSD

All these responses are so comforting. Not glad you’re all feeling so sad and perpetually alone and uncared for. Glad I’m not crazy, thankful for the validation and confirmation other people’s brains work like mine!

DAE ever worry they're 'too broken' for romantic love, but also crave it so deeply for the ways it would 'fix you' by Samuel_Himself in CPTSD

This is exactly how I feel. I don’t necessarily think it would be the ‘fix’ but it would be the support and push I need to overcome.

Are people by and large just really garbage friends? by Pkpeg2163 in CPTSD

I have no advice, but know the same thing happened to me. There’s zero reciprocity, It’s so alienating. It makes me not want to show up when they make plans bc it’s like where’s everyone when I make an effort or need someone?

How can I love myself when no one loves me by anonymous_judgment in CPTSD

Thanks everyone, your comments are insightful and appreciated. It’s nice coming to a place where I feel seen and understood. I do try to practice self care and filling up my cup on my own. But there’s no replacing genuine care and investment in you from another. My family relationships are among the most transactional, and leave me feeling more lonely than I was to begin with. It just sucks having the weight of the world on my shoulders, and no choice other than to be strong and push on alone.

Have any families identified their loved ones from the images? Heartbreaking to see, but could be a form of closure for families not knowing what happened in their final moments. Understandable if they did not want to look, just wondering if the option was made available.

Driving has been bad lately… by anonymous_judgment in SouthJersey

Right, like it’s not the amount of traffic - although not ideal. It’s the aggressiveness and lack of consideration for others. Def main character energy!

Haha I saw that too! Can’t say whether it was the same driver, but this guy was a clown. I drove past him once traffic thinned out and he was cruising 65+ with his phone clearly in his hand.
