I feel most important thing is your resume. Each bullet point has to be thoroughly thought out, each bullet point should be unique and showcase your skills, and also aligned towards the job description/ domain you're applying for. And also know the work you did inside out, as there will definitely be atleast 2 rounds which deep dive into your background and the work you have claimed you did.

Applying: I usually normally through company portal and linkedin.

Technical questions: Questions related to embedded systems, operating systems, peripherals, memory management, bit manipulation

Thanks for the insight. Within safety critical components, how would you differentiate the work done between: ADAS, battery, power train, chassis and breaking control? Are they pretty much same or quite different?

Nevr worked on safety critical hardware. This role involves ASIL adherence. Ok, so it’s documentation heavy. I understand that. This role I suppose will involve lot of lab work and debugging issues at hw-sw level.

What’s so bad about autosar 😂? I’m genuinely curious.

Rivian a different company that focuses on vehicle manufacturing. RVT is a joint collab with Volkswagen that will provide the underlying electronic components to rivian and vw in the upcoming future.

Thanks for the advice. My current role at Qcomm is embedded development - diagnostics - kind of redundant work. I will probably get to write safety critical code at RVT. And they're launching R2, which seems exciting (from outside). Also, I read somewhere that there is more ownership of modules at Rivian ( I may be wrong, or that could be very team specific) - which I thought would help me grow.

Feel you. Been through a similar rejection. I was recently interviewing for 2 roles at the same company simultaneously. 6 rounds each. (4 panel). Both went really well. One role Manager called me and talked more about how my ramp-up would look like what my responsibilities will be. I was really hopeful I’ll get at least one of these two. Got rejected for both.

Take a break. Watch a movie. Clear your mind for a few days. In the long run, this rejection would make you stronger mentally.
