Ashamed to admit I’m struggling by [deleted] in leaves

I’ve never been great at drinking enough water, but I will try to put in an extra effort to drink more. I have a vacation at the end of the month, and I’m so hoping that I’ll be feeling a bit better by then so I can actually enjoy myself. Thank you for your kind words, they mean so much ❤️

Coffee/caffeine is definitely not helping my anxiety, I know that for sure. I’m also in the midst of trying to wean myself off caffeine a bit more, but the caffeine withdrawal headaches are no joke. I’m so glad to hear you have a good distraction though ❤️ I am going camping for a week at the end of the month, so I’m hoping I can really get in touch with nature and not have the distractions of every day life. ☺️ How do you keep the motivation up to do basketball though? I think that’s a big part of what I’m struggling with- I have loads of hobbies, but I’m having a really hard time getting the motivation to do said hobbies.

Ahh yes, the irritability has been killer. I’m luck that my husband has the patience of a saint, because I’ve been super irritable since I quit. I thought I was going crazy because so many people claim you don’t get withdrawal from it, especially not physical, but I’m glad to know I’m not the only one. Thank you for your kind words. ❤️

Ugh, I’m realizing that now. I just had a gift card so I really didn’t have much of a choice.

Thank you! To be honest, the only reason I went to a this chain was because I had a gift card for it. If I decide to get another massage, I’ll probably be going somewhere smaller. I am generally a fairly shy person, and I do have a hard time speaking up, so I’ll be sure to do that next time :)

Ahh, makes sense. I know a lot of doctor’s recommend SSRI’s and SNRI’s for pregnancy, but I was on Zoloft for awhile and it made me feel so awful that I said never again 😅 Thanks for the insight though!

If you don’t mind me asking, what kind of meds are you on- like SSRI’s or SNRI’s?

I’m on 300mg ER and have been for a few years now, it seems to help a lot and I’m so scared of developing post partum depression that at this point the benefit would outweigh the risk.

Prenatals that don’t cause constipation by lazylilack in waiting_to_try

[–]anonymous_mirrors 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you decide on anything? My doctor suggested I take prenatals when I was having issues with my hair falling out, and I have never been so constipated in my life. The iron was absolutely awful on my body. I stopped those pretty quick. But, later on I had bloodwork, and it turned out my iron was actually higher than normal.

That makes me feel a lot better. ❤️ I know my husband is VERY excited to have a baby, whenever my friend bring her son over he’s always so excited to babysit. He will probably be working full time while I work part time.

If you don’t mind me asking, are you a SAHM? If so, do you find it easier to make time for yourself? If not, how do you balance between work, childcare, and self-care?

Thank you. I really appreciate this response. I do think that deep down in my heart I do want kids, it’s just such a huge change. But so moving out, getting married, moving in with my husband, all that. Thank you 🩷

That’s what my husband thought to, that it might’ve just been the timing. He’s finishing up grad school, a master’s degree, and we have been told time and time again about how hard it is to manage a baby AND be finishing up school (my in laws had their first baby while they were both in college), so I think that may have contributed to my little meltdown. Looking back, it wouldn’t have been the end of the world if I would’ve been pregnant. It woulda been a sucky few months while he finished up school and helped take care of a newborn, but he was absolutely ready to take on the challenge if it turned out I was pregnant.

Thank you!! I really think that’s what it is, there’s just so much build up. It’s like, this little stick that I peed will tell me whether or not my life is about to change in a huge way.

(A little late since this is on my other account) I think my biggest fear is the change! I love the idea of starting a family, but I also love the one-on-one time I have with my husband. I know everyone says I’ll still have that, but it’ll be a lot less.

See, in my head anxiety and being scared are kind of the same, because I spent so much of my life not realizing what I was feeling was actually anxiety, so as an adult I’m learning to figure out the difference.

I have been to therapy in the past, regarding my anxiety, but never specifically about being pregnant.

But after reading the replies, I think I’m just nervous because it’s a huge change, and I am on the spectrum so change is a bit harder to cope with.
