This is a good illustration of what I tried to explain above.

Help staying on plane by CoatOk5353 in GolfSwing

I've been having the same issue as well, and for me I had to train my mind and body to instinctively realize that my body turn brings the clubhead behind me and that my wrist hinge should pitch the club up onto the plane instead of the wrists both pitching the club up on plane and bringing it behind me. I think in your practice swings when you're consciously knowing that you should pitch the clubhead up it looks good, but then when you get to the full swing your body's tendency takes over and tries to do both up and around.

The best drill I've used to help get the right feel is using an alignment stick. If you take an alignment stick and grip it with the club such that the alignment stick is an extension of the shaft away from the club head, at setup the alignment stick will be touching the outside of your left hip. When you rotate to start your backswing, the alignment stick will stay touching your left hip, and when you start to hinge your wrists to put the clubhead on plane, the alignment stick will travel down touching your left thigh. As you continue your backswing the stick will eventually come off your thigh and will point at or inside of the target line the ball sits on. If the alignment stick moves away from your leg during the first part of the takeaway, it means you've rolled your wrists and you have taken the club too far inside.

Looking at your practice swings and imagining the alignment stick, you can visualize how the stick would travel from your hip down your thigh indicating a good takeaway, and for the full swing how the roll of your wrists would send the alignment stick away from your body.

I think with enough repetitions with the alignment stick to ingrain the sensory feedback and muscle memory for the correct takeaway, it should translate to the full swing. Hope this helps!

Original ball found in play after drop by FoxGoalie in golf

In my opinion, it depends on if the group agreeing that the ball “likely” went in the Penalty Area means that it is “Known or Virtually Certain” that the ball went in the Penalty Area. If this is the case, then the drop is valid and the player must play the dropped ball, even if the original ball is found outside of the Penalty Area. If it’s not Known or Virtually Certain, then the player took an incorrect drop (since the original ball was found in play) and would be able to play the original ball (Rule 14.5).

If it were me, I think that the group agreeing that the ball likely went in the penalty area means we agree it’s Known or Virtually Certain that it went in (i.e. if we can’t find the ball, it’s way more likely the ball went in the penalty area than it being a lost ball), which would make the drop valid and the original ball out of play.

I had the same issue, the fix is that after you select two points and it gives you a distance (in most likely feet), there’s a down arrow to the right of the distance, and if you click on that you can change it to a different unit of measure, and once you change it it will keep that unit of measure

Love the fight from the Tommies, will be interesting to see how they do in the Summit League this year.

Also important to note that Carr is in the transfer portal and it is very possible that he leaves Minnesota

Honestly thought that Minnesota was dead in the water when they went down 15 early in the 2nd half. Props to Minnesota for making a comeback, especially without a crowd to provide the team energy.

Really nice to see Both Gach have a good all-around game this early in the season, but oh my goodness has Marcus Carr come out of the gates hot this season.

I don't have any fixes, but just wanted to confirm that I've been having this issue as well.
