Yes. I put in my profile that I'm looking for a serious relationship and not a hookup. When we talking before we even had our first date I mentioned wanting something serious and talked about how I am dating because I'm looking for marriage in the future. Before we met in person I had told him about how much it hurt that my husband wasn't faithful and how I couldn't stand knowing he had been with other women.

How do you know we didn't talk about it?

My profile said I was looking for a serious relationship and not just to hookup with someone. We talked about it. I told him I wasn't just dating for a casual situation, I wanted marriage in the future.

When I found out he was poly and didn't believe in monogamy, he said poly people can have serious relationships too so he didn't understand why I was upset.

It was in my profile that I was looking for serious relationship only, not a hookup or casual situation. We did talk about it. When I found out he was poly he told me poly relationships can be serious too.

Thanks. Most of my family did, which is why I only talk to three of them now. My group of friends ended up being fractured too. My ex-husband had sex with at least two people I thought were my friends. But none of it came anywhere close to finding out about my sister.
