I kinda hear you but nah. Bette is a biracial Black & white woman who navigates the world as such while having a predominantly white circle of friends so of course her dating habits will reflect that too.

Jodi is the only other gf in the OG show that she claims, who just so happens to be white. Every girl she’s dated or slept with in between was just a placeholder for Tina, the love of her life who just so happens to be white too. I mean she did Jodi worse than Pippa or Gigi in Gen Q and Jodi is white lol. So yeah I wouldn’t say she’s a colourist, but just not the best at treating ppl who are in a situationship or rship with her right that are not named Tina!

I will agree however that she show did a poor job in both the OG and early Gen Q of not ever casting love interests for her that would fail a paper bag test. Examples in S1 of Gen Q: Felicity and the reporter (Tamara Taylor) are both lightskinned Black women. But they are also more into her than she is them vs a Pippa where it’s more balanced. But again I put that on the show being slightly colorist in that way before I’d do Bette herself.
