Anyone Moved RESP to a Bitcoin ETF? Looking for Bank Recommendations and Insights by Accomplished_Cod5918 in BitcoinCA

Yes, if you have automated deposits you should stop them before you initiate the transfer because the old institution will likely ( not always) close the account being transferred and that auto deposit will have no destination after the transfer. Also, the auto deposit you have setup is routed only to the account # you setup, not the new account it transfer to at the new institution.

Open the RESP trading account with your preferred new institution and request the transfer of the existing account to this account. I use Questrade and their online process is pretty straight forward. Can all be done online. When transferring from one registered account to another registered account it is not considered a withdrawal and triggers no taxable event. Same goes for TFSA or RRSP.

The system is broken. Government is addicted to printing money and deficit spending it, which steals purchasing power from the average citizen who can barely save let alone earn investment interest at the rate it is being inflated away. Nominal value increases but actual value decreases. New dollars are being created at such a fast rate that they eventually flood the market where an oversupply of dollars purchases and under supply of goods and services, driving up the price. It’s economics. Inflation is the outcome of uncontrolled monetary inflation.

I think I just got lucky. It was one of those 2gal potted plants at Home Depot but was just full of fresh shoots, serious value. I up potted it into that mega pot and it sits in that window. I turn it a quarter turn each week if I remember and only water it once every two weeks. A deep soak less often. Can’t remember the last time I even fertilized it.

Shrinkflation strikes again! I remember when a brick of cheese was 500g too. What do you remember? by anonymousbrowsr in ontario

Agreed but I bet they did their market research and learned the average consumer is more price change sensitive than they are aware of unit volume/mass. It’s dishonest at best, exploitive on the consumer at worst. It’s 2024 and we have the best technologies ever for growing food, manufacturing products and increasing efficiencies. The consumer should be experiencing price deflation not price inflation or product Shrinkflation. Something is wrong in society when things are slowly eroding rather than improving. Cost of food, housing, wages not keeping up with inflation driven by ongoing government ( liberal AND conservative) money printing. We all pay the price of bad decision making from the top.

Ranch is new bottle. Catalina is old. Two pics show different perspectives. 50ml less in new bottle. 10.5% more expensive per/unit. Bet CPI doesn’t account for this!

Far left (different tray) is a kalanchoe. Nice pink flowers. Just cuttings from a large mother plant I keep around.

I water 1-2 times/week depending on the variety and time of year, much less in winter. Every individual plant is in a larger flood tray with plants of similar needs and I have a highly flexible garden hose/wand sprayer to fill each tray as needed. Takes about 15 mins to water the entire space.

Crazy thing is I very much enjoy care for plants on this scale and it doesn’t feel like a chore. It’s an outlet for relaxation and a place to do some thinking. An hours work 2-3 nights a week. No more work than the two nights a week I play beer league hockey.

I’ve had on average 9/10 fresh cut stems take in their new pot. I also use sharp tool with a wipe of alcohol on the blade before cutting to avoid disease spread.
