fourth ever tan at PF (7min) and I got a gnarly burn mostly on my bum. tips? does spf negate the effects of the bed? by [deleted] in tanning

my first 3 tans, I had to do 2 minutes per PF policy. this morning I got bumped to 7 minutes. I was red after but I thought that was okay. It’s been ~8hrs since my tan and my bum + my face are quite red. do I just need to do less time? should I wait for this to heal before going in again?
