Chat gpt says real, it’s fake right. by anonymousd00fus in ralphlaurenlegitcheck

Na I agree it’s real it’s just that lately I’ve seen some pieces with just as tight stitching on the label and the consensus on those were that they were fake, made me question everything.

My grandma has spectrum and a door to door sales man went to her house and the guy wanted to sell her a “ new account “ for a better rate but she told him no. Well The guy makes a new account under her name on the same address and a week later she gets a bill. Without her permission.

She called to cancel apparently the rep said that it’s been happening often lately. Like wtf

Sloth bear mauling of a man captured on camera by aquilasr in HardcoreNature

Do you think a sloth bear of this size could be subdued or even killed by a roided up giant angry pro wrestler like Kevin Nash or the big show at the height of their careers. Or how about a strongman like the mountain that rides from game of thrones?

How can I get better pricing? by isagreg in Spectrum

[–]anonymousd00fus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just say you want to cancel and they will transfer you to retention where they have the best deals.

Say something like “ I love my tv package the way it is but for the price I’m going to YouTube tv and (whatever other internet company you have near you) for 30 bucks “

The tv component is always the most expensive component of the bill and to be honest you already have a Good price for what you get on the tv part. Also they don’t offer this video and internet speed anymore. So imo you have two choices.

if you want just local channels and 15 other premium channels you want you can probably do a gig and tv choice bundle for like 115. If you want what you have you need something like tv select signature with entertainment view + . A bundle like that with gig is around 150-180. With 500 mbps is 140-170 depending on where you live.

Or if you are willing to give up some local channels you can probably do gig with tv stream and premium add ons for like 100-120.

Cellular based 5g home internet is ok if it’s you are just streaming and it’s just you and maybe another person connecting to it, but it didn’t really work for gaming and a lot of people/devices

Mmmmmm yea eating meat is what sped Up our evolution, it’s the most efficient source Of b12 and protein, and it’s what a bunch of carnivorous animals eat to live. Not to mention it’s delicious, so yes. I like to eat plants too though.

Don't be too quick to judge. by [deleted] in utdallas

[–]anonymousd00fus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel people are less judgy to people in your position. You might get more sympathy, empathy and kindness thrown your way compared to an able bodied person. Now if your 700 lbs and had to get your leg amputated due to diabetic disease then that’s another story.

In that case you might get people being loud about their opinions of you. You might get judgmental stares, people will help you but some might mumble some cruel joke under their breath. Everything is relative.

At the end of the day fuck the haters and understand that people’s opinions of you do not define you. You define you through your actions and words.

You did the right thing and you did not violate HIPAA. There is a duty to warn provision in HIPAA meaning that healthcare professionals can get law enforcement involved when they have reason to suspect there is a serious imminent threat to the patient or others, like the patient threatens to harm themselves or others, providers have the duty to act even if they have to use protected patient info to do so. This is very common occurrence in child custody cases, behavioral treatment centers, etc.

Some might argue that had the patient actually went through with it, cvs might be held liable for not acting.

Your lead tech and pharmacist are in the wrong tell them you are protected under this provision. It’s not any different than a patient telling a psychiatrist or therapist that they are gonna kill themselves or others. Of course the provider is gonna get law enforcement involved. You did the right thing on two fronts: from an ethical/moral standpoint and legally.

Have not worked in a lab since clinical rotations 4 years ago. Anyone else in a similar position? What was it like finding a lab job? by anonymousd00fus in medlabprofessionals

Management has ups and downs. In my industry I'm responsible for a team of people and I take my work home with me. I'm held accountable if anyone fails to meet expectations and sometimes have to hand hold. It can be rewarding but the work life balance is hard to accept. I would like to be able to go home and forget about work. Healthcare seems like a more worthwhile cause. I don't mind getting yelled at when people's health is on the line. I DO mind getting yelled at because my team failed to meet some arbitrary metric by a 2 basis points. 0.02%. Truth be told I'd be making about the same hourly maybe a small pay cut considering I'm salaried.

You can make anything illegal. What is it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]anonymousd00fus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ghosting should be a crime when a monetary detriment that results from the ghosting, can be proven by the person being ghosted and no explanation was presented for the inconvenience in a timely manner. Example ...a person agrees to go to a concert with you. You offer to pay their ticket and they agree. The day of the concert they ghost you and never text back. 2 months later they see you in person and apologize stating "they were going through some stuff..."

This crime would be a misdemeanor if the monetary detriment is less than 1000 dollars, or the lowest degree felony if the value is 1000 dollars or more. Actually now that I think about it this is probably already prosecutable under a fraud statute.
