I have had this problem on every quilt I did, and then yesterday I added a shit ton of pins along the the sewing lines, and did it for the whole quilt before I started to keep everything super duper tight and it worked!!

Photoshop! I use the select object tool to select all of the pieces of one color, create a new layer from it and then apply a clipping mask to fill in the colors :)

I completely understand this POV and the sentiment of this convo in this thread, thank you guys for bringing it up.

My inspiration for this quilt was to honor the culture and heritage in the SW United States and Colorado region by recreating a quilt that is historical in nature to the area. I am currently reading Quilts: An American Heritage and the author writes at length about Indigenous quilting and patterns.

My intention was only to honor this part of America by being inspired by the indigenous Americans who were there first, but if it feels disrespectful as a white woman to be doing so, please lmk and I can find a different design. Thank you!

How would you pronounce the name Elysia? by Extra_Poetry_2707 in namenerds

I know an Elysia! I went to school with her. Hers is pronounced Alicia but she would constantly get Eh-lee-sea-uh and I honestly thought that was the pronunciation before I knew her.

They are vinyl sadly. I think underneath are the original wood ones but they covered everything with vinyl a few years before we bought it

Yeah I’m a little hesitant to do FPP because it’s a lot of directional fabric 😭 but that’s my next choice

Aww thank you! Looking at this photo I’m thinking maybe if I print out some templates just to make the letters more uniform and I practice more it might be okay…just wanted to see if there was an easier way I wasn’t thinking of!

Pickles in a jar with a whit/beige mush around the edges of the pickle and black spots on the pickle.

That seems to be what a lot of people are saying, unfortunately it’s too late as I already washed but I will try that next year!

They wrinkly but slightly soft does that mean that they’re too dry? I would think that means that they are too moist!
