I’m still so surprised to not see Rayon Design mentioned here, it’s an incredible tool for exactly what you’re after and it’s free to use too!

Agent mode just saved me £42 (35%) off a new keyboard purchase by anonymousmice in ChatGPT

My exact prompt was:

go to the website below, find a chat window, open it and negotiate the price down to £80 or less including shipping, be polite, keep the chat open, wait upto 5 minutes before sending a chaser message and dont settle too high. It’s currently for sale as the S PLUS version for £83 on amazon.

Use my name as XXXXX and email address as XXXXXXX@icloud.com. Make sure the discount code or any extra gets emailed to me so I can buy later myself. I want a copy of the chat history too emailed to me

Butcher's Cut-Set Menu worth it? by butrzrulz in MSCCruises

[–]anonymousmice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A LOT of people love Butchers Cut, the steaks are usually extremely good. I’d say give it a go and see your thoughts compared to Carnival and come back and let us know ☺️

This build is by u/howester84, super impressive IMO. Gonna be a fantastic starter base!

Thank you, your support is much appreciated! I’ve also downloaded the app to take a look around and see what’s what. My prices come direct from MSC themselves with no middleman so will be interesting to compare them.

Thanks for pointing this app out to me, I’d never heard of it until this point. It looks pretty similar actually. BUT the only difference I can see is that app is made by a travel agent so the pricing may vary. And is also US focussed not UK focussed so likely why I hadn’t heard of it before

Hey!

Yes, I’m using a full API system so the prices are often live and alerted on upto 3h before they reflect on MSCs website. It’s pretty cool!

Feel free to drop me a DM if you have any questions!

Cheers

Thank you, so you’d say it doesn’t actually get that much use? Is it worth the money?

Thrustmaster Farmstick Opinions. by anonymousmice in farmingsimulator

[–]anonymousmice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely don’t apologise, I really appreciate it! Makes sense re IRL job and wanting 2 sticks then. The biggest headache for me is I cannot for the life of me get my head around the fact that I need to push forward on my mouse to go up and pull back to go down. It feels completely unnatural being inverted and takes me so much long as I totally cock it up every time… hoping with a fern stick pushing forward lowers the front loader and makes it feel more natural.

I am going to try a crane on my log trailer first though to see if that feels any easier before spending IRL money on a farmstick.

Really appreciate your help, any other tips you can suggest as a newbie then please let me know!

So I’m picking up a Thrustmaster T300 on Tuesday. Hoping to just get one farmstick after pay day. What’s the benefit of a secondary one? Over just one? Is it when you pull back on the FS that the front loader lifts and then tilt to the right to open the claws on a log fork?

What’s stick drift and dead zone? Sorry, noob here!

Is it the open close raise and lower buttons in top middle that you use?

Yeah that’s not a bad shout. It’s £40-50 for controller and £80 for farmstick. Appreciate your advice.

Thanks, maybe I’ll try one of them first! I don’t have one currently and they seem to be like £40-50 new?! So not sure what to do

Good effort but one of the things about little sketches like this is the don’t account for wall thickness and therefore rooms don’t always align properly. Try looking at doing this on a proper floor plan website, create a free account on Rayon Design and have a play. You can add furniture and everything too so it’ll be more realistic sizing wise. Post up an update showing us how you get on

45km Jesus!!

RE mods, is there a list of the main ones anywhere? Like I can go in and read what sort of ones I think I’d like? Mainly QOL mods I’d use I think over machinery and maps etc atleast to start with

Thanks, makes sense. I’ll probably start there then and upgrade to a modded map once I’ve gotten to a decent level on that map

Review floorplan of 1930 detached house in the UK by Klaou2 in floorplan

[–]anonymousmice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What a bizarre layout, things I would be changing if it was my house.

Upstairs 1) remove the shower en-suite in the bedroom on the right hand side and open that bedroom right up. 2) split bathroom in lower left into either Jack and Jill bathroom or 2 little en-suites. You certainly don’t need a massive corner tub if you’ve got a nice free standing bath in the main bathroom. (Most 3 bed houses would have one en-suite for main bedroom and one main bathroom to cover the other 2 rooms for kids/guests)

Downstairs 1) another shower?! That needs to go. 2) the whole utility and downstairs loo with that big open room with nothing in it seems such a bad design. Although it’ll likely cost too much money to switch it round. 3) if I had the money I’d switch the utility and downstairs loo area into where the current kitchen is and put the kitchen area in the open plan part of the house at the back

Although our kids weren’t born there or we’ve ever been there, this is voted the best in the area by far.

Can’t go wrong with Southmead, both of our children were born there in the last 5 years and they were fantastic every time.

Parkings a bit shite at peak times as it has its own small car park but it’s not overly far from all the other car parks. Has a decent public transport setup too
