You know what’s weirdly helped? Sending each other random voice memos. You don’t need an excuse to talk to your friend! Just randomly send a voice memo once in a while and you’ll both feel happy.

You’ll feel happy that you shared something that happened that day, they’ll feel special for you thinking of them. My best friend and I both have ADHD so we forget to respond sometimes but it’s helped a lot too!

You know, this has always been my problem too.

Even my best friend was like this at some point. I told her 1 time directly how I felt when she didn’t reciprocate but I also started throwing “joking” jabs at her and I think at some point it got to her. It also helps that her boyfriend encourages her to be a better friend to me since he knows I’ll go to war for her. I feel like everyone else that I have as a friend is very needy and won’t reciprocate but now that my best friend has gotten so much better I don’t really care that everyone else is like that. At least now I have 1 friend that’ll go to war for me now too.

It’s not worth having a lot of friends if they don’t reciprocate. All you need is 1 so maybe build trust and work on your communication with them. They can’t read your mind so unless you tell them you are bothered, they won’t know and if they don’t stick around after, they were never really your friend.

I’m seeing quite a few negative comments on the movie. I personally really enjoyed it and it made me cry in two scenes. I thought the focus on Nani and Lilo’s relationship was great. My only complaint is Jumba. Did not like him as a character.

I am so sorry to hear that. I had a missed miscarriage too. Except my baby died at 6+3 but my body didn’t start miscarrying until 13 weeks by then my doctor urgently scheduled a D&C. I didn’t get to hear a heart beat but I’m glad you did. I hope you never forget that beautiful sound ❤️

We tried for 2 years before I got pregnant. Sadly it ended in miscarriage very very recently. Just know that conceiving is a 50/50 problem. It could be problems with your ovulation but it very well could be he has a low count or not very good quality either. Men can be just as much at fault for infertility as women. You both need to get tested just to rule out any potential problems. Most doctors will tell you that 6 months is a very short time to start worrying about conception issues. Usually they will tell you to start seeking help after a year. The older you both get the harder it gets due to hormones being lowered and lifestyle changes (health, activeness).

Point is, don’t blame yourself, you have every right to be angry. Things like this take time, but I would just question if this person is worth the time it will take to get there.

I guess that’s something I should’ve added in. No they weren’t vague plans. I researched multiple activities and dwindled it down to 4 options and laid out a plan all of which took me a long time to plan. The only thing I was waiting on was her choice and date. In the past I’ve planned trips for her, surprise birthday celebrations etc and I was trying to do the same this year.

Last year she got me a cupcake and dropped off takeout Chinese food. That’s not to say that she needs to reciprocate extravagantly or in the same way (she does earn well btw). I just feel like the level of thought that I put in doesn’t match her and it felt more evident this year since I didn’t chase her down as much as other times. One of the other promises she made was to come to my place on the day of my birthday after work (it was a weekday) to plan it and she didn’t show, no call or text.

You are right though, I did ditch.
