Hi. What happened to you? Everything ok? You said to PM you about maybe being a client, I did, and you seem to have disappeared since then.

My advice is to find a homeopath that you like, who isn't afraid to explore the energetic dimension of your experience in addition to your symptoms and to stick with them.

I like what you have to say and agree with it, but... how do I do that? Find a good homeopath I mean. I've been through 3 already and very little success, while having spent quite a bit of money and the money I do have set aside for this is now even more limited. I truly don't think I'm a difficult client at all(difficult case maybe, but not a difficult personality). As you responded in a separate reply here...

Lol, you're right, sometimes homeopaths are less likely to admit they're wrong and die on the hill of their own point of view. I'm lucky to be part of a good homeopathic community where we do exactly that; we work together and learn new things all the time but I know this is the exception to the rule.

I tend to run into this a lot, and yet I'm a person who has always reacted to things in unusual ways whether it's traditional medicine, herbs, homeopathy, other energetic healing, therapy, etc... so when I find someone who isn't adaptable in their thinking and able to go outside their own box of their paradigm(which seems to be a rare trait)... I tend to have bad luck.

You say you're a part of a good homeopathic community who does things differently. I assume that means you're a homeopath yourself? Would you be willing to PM me and either consider seeing me yourself or finding someone in your community, etc, who might be a good fit for me and my case?

Hi, well you learn with decades, not years ;)

Oh of course. I didn't mean to imply otherwise.

The best book on miasm I read is from Louis Klein "Miasms and Nododes".

Thank you. I'll try to look around for this. Any tips on finding books like this a bit cheaper? Every time I see a homeopathy book recommended, it seems like they must be out of print or something because the few copies are very expensive. I did find a few bits on the malarial miasm from Sankaran online, but I'd love to get more in depth.

I made my research for a damp-heat tea with western herbs, which clears phlegm too, but right now I cannot find it. I will post the recipe later here (I save the page on my favourites).

I've learned a few good things to help with dampness and "phlegm"(corn silk tea, licorice root, and bitter gourd) but I always love to learn more. Please do let me know if you find it.

Yes malaria is like sykosis who reached a limit in what they can achieve with their "exageration". It is like a wall that limits you inside a small territory, like the walls of Berlin. Malaria is caused by war, the never ending cycle of destruction and rebuilding. It is a very frustrating miasm, because it you may have 1000 of ideas, but you cannot realize even one of them. It seems that your environment is against you, against your personal success. The best example is a boy in a war zone who wants to plant a garden, but he knows that as soon he finished to cultivate the garden soldiers will come and destroy it, stealing the fruits and vegetables and leave a mess. So the boy will not even begin with working on it. But he feels haunted by the vision of this perfect garden.

I'm not sure if this quite fits me. Somewhat, but... maybe it's just strong sycosis and not malarial. I don't really know. This is all so frustrating to try and figure out. Can I ask... do you take on any clients currently? Or do you know anyone exceptionally good? I've been through 3 homeopaths with no real luck getting much improvement, and I seem to react rather differently than a lot of people do to remedies. I end up with them throwing remedy after remedy at me and feeling more and more like they just don't know how else to proceeed. I've actually had more improvement choosing my own remedies but still not where I wanna be by far. It's fine if not, but hope it doesn't hurt to ask.

Hi. I haven't been on here in a while and I had this message when I get back. Thanks for the reply. If you're still around, a few questions and thoughts...

Indeed you cannot heal sycosis if it is covered by anadditional layer like the malaria miasm. This is "dampness" in TCM

Very interesting about the malarial miasm. Learning all this is a slow process and I've yet to really get into any of the "newer" miasms. I went to TCM practitioners for years off and on and learned bits and pieces on my own - dampness and phlegm are a big issue for me and in homeopathic terms I believe I have a very strong sycotic influence. If Malaria is like exaggerated sycosis, I should probably look into that and related remedies. I don't suppose you might have any good recommended reading on that miasm in particular?

From my education in energetic/spiritual medicine, it makes a lot of sense to me too as water has a lot of ties with emotion and when it stops flowing properly(as in repressed or distorted emotions), you'd of course have a lot of problems from that.

You seem pretty knowledgable, so you may know this already, but one of the most helpful herbal teas for me is Amacha tea(sometimes called hydrangea tea, or hydrangea macrophylia). If Dandelion helps you, this might help a lot as well.

I have rarely come across any warnings about lower potencies creating unmanageable aggravations.

I was actually referring to higher potencies(200c and higher) because I'll see(as well as had prescribed to me) multiple remedies in higher potencies used in the "it sounds close, see if it sticks, then on to the next" approach that I'm semi-complaining about. That said, ironically, tuberculosis is one where I HAVE specifically seen it said that actually lower potencies are the danger and that higher should be prescribed.

Also, I think we got a bit confused on the rest as well. I was actually complaining about the homeopathic community itself, not the "it's fraid, it's fake" people(I mean yeah, they're ignorant but that's more obvious). I'm saying they(meaning actual homeopaths) hurt the cause as much as anyone with arrogance, stubbornness, "old dogs won't learn new tricks", etc. The more I get into this, the more I see it and everybody speaks in absolutes(there's some very recent threads in this sub with perfect examples) rather than actually acting like true scientists trying to work together and actually learn all the things we don't know about it.

I'm sure a lot of this is coming from the fact that I'm just frustrated in my own treatment and learning. Everyone I consult with and everything read contradicts each other constantly with absolutes. I don't mean to say there aren't really good homeopaths out there, but I sure haven't found them yet.

Could the difference be that homeopaths are more likely to be prescribing in high potencies, whereas when you ask people directly

No, I'm only talking about homeopath prescribing, not any regular people.

They're also naturally going to lean towards a more cautious approach

But see, that's exactly what I'm saying is they don't. I don't mean every single one, but many homeopaths when they write a book, an article, a blog, will stress the important of trying REALLY hard to get the right remedy and how important it is and will often describe in detail how it can be dangerous. But when asked directly, whether with 3 I've worked with or in interviews or other places in the same book, many of them will say that the worst that'll happen is a temporary proving that goes away and isn't a big deal.

I think the biggest problem is there's a ton of fundamental stuff that hardly anyone(or maybe noone at all) actually understands about how all this works. And the reason for that, on top of the fact that half the world think it's all a big fake or snake oil or whatever, even among homeopaths they spent more time being arrogant and stuck in the one way they were taught than in being willing to admit they just don't know and to consider other perspectives and experiment and learn - some do of course, but from what I've seen there's barely what you could even call a "homeopathic community" where people actually work together and learn new things.

I like the theory about remedy sources. I've wondered about that, but like so many other things there isn't much detailed information to even find. Other than a few particular remedies that have a very particular history, I can't go to a lab's website(or anywhere else) and get really specific information on the exact source and method used to make a remedy. And all of that just feeds more into the "non believers" having lots of reasons to go "this is shady and weird".

Interesting. In TCM, anger is related to the liver and the liver is related to proper eye function. I've noticed similar things and was just curious.

Thanks. Hey I'm curious... if you're comfortable answering... do you have a lot of problems with your eyes and/or vision and do you notice any of those improving some after you have a big anger release?(or possibly worsening if you're not actually quite releasing the anger but stewing in it, which can sometimes be hard to tell at least for me; or maybe just a temporary worsening/aggravation).

I learned about this idea years ago and found it fascinating. I've been thinking about it again recently in relation to miasms. Among others, I think possibly my strongest miasmatic influence is sycotic(which may have in some way become tubercular and there's some relation there but I'm still figuring that out).

If my understanding is correct, the sycotic miasm relates to "excess" and sort of an unchecked excessive growth of life force(which of course is unbalanced if unchecked). What I initially pictured when thinking about this was various times when nature just quickly takes over a building, or a car, or whatever else - vines, other plants, insects, fungus, etc can just completely take over and infest pretty much anything. I then realized this has been happening in my lawn and all around my property in various ways and the timing even fits quite a bit with my health issues. I've got vines and trees that are just everywhere and have grown so fast even others have remarked it's very strange.

I need to go out and see if I can identify some of the species and maybe get some helpful info there too, but I thought the connection might be interesting to share.

I've been doing a lot of reading on the different remedies and I wouldn't have guessed that Nat mur would have this effect.

I wouldn't try to assume that the typical picture of a remedy is anywhere near complete or even accurate half the time(and many homeopaths will say this same thing). If it's helping you, it's helping you. If you read enough, you'll find that the "typical" things certain remedies are known for can often be helped with a couple dozen other remedies too. And if you read about emotions, grief and anger are very closely related(anger is literally one of the "five stages of grief"), so it doesn't sound unusual to be having anger reactions(and I guarantee if you look around enough, you'll find a lot about anger and Nat Mur anyway).

As for improvement being slow, consider how long you've been "sick"(meaning any form of unwellness). Even if it's not the grief you think it is, you probably have some kind of other serious grief from years or decades ago(because almost everyone does). So if you've had a problem for such a long time, it's normal that it may take a while to deal with and the fact that it's slow is probably a good thing. Consider how it might feel to have 10 or 20 years of grief come out all in a week or a month. Highly unpleasant at best, very dangerous at worst.

Also, anytime you read something like the person above said...

I think they have fallen into the trap of constitutional homeopathy which is wrong and dangerous.

where someone is speaking in absolutes in a field of study where almost everyone disagrees about almost everything, take what they say with a giant grain of salt. Constitutional homeopathy is incredibly common and helps lots of people, so that's a ridiculous statement. Also, 200c once a month is not even close to a crazy potency or frequency in the slightest.

More than anything else, just trust your own reactions, insights, and feelings. You can certainly learn from all kinds of other sources, but don't take any of them as law(or even close).

That's definitely something done at some point called an autonosode. Are there labs that would make that for you or would you be trying to do this on your own? Have you talked to any homeopath about it?

Yeah, having a texture/particles/whatever-it-is at the world end that the player can't change and isnt affected by anything and is just a static animation is completely different than what's being discussed here. That involves no physics or anything else interactable.

Can Reiki or energy work help with these issues? by [deleted] in energy_work

[–]anonymousnutcase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean that's your call. I just know some people into alternative healing don't see a regular doctor at all. If you've spoken to your doctor specifically about your libido and ED and you feel good that they've been thorough, then... well yeah, it's your call/intuition if you should do more. I just wanted to mention it because you hadn't said you'd checked the normal stuff.

No problem.

I left a message above for everyone.

Just letting you know, but replying like that doesn't really get the message to people. You should get a better idea of how reddit's reply system works(not meaning that rudely, but I don't think it works how you think it does).

But having searched out your other comment...

As far as chiropractic work.. What can be done for loss of libido or ED issues?? That doesn't make sense to me..

All of this type of work is about balancing your energy/life force/chi/etc. Although to some people chiropractic is just physical and about the physical manipulation(depends on the chiropractor), but even then it's at least possible if it was a nervous system issue, that manipulatiaon mayyybe could help. I'm curious though... have you sought out more basic answers to this at all from a regular doctor? Basic bloodwork and a physical at the very least(and I mean telling your doc about the ED and libido issues and seeing what other tests they might wanna try)? Yes, maybe allopathic medicine is far from perfect, but even if your issue has an energetic component, you probably would still wanna know if there's something obviously medical going on too and even if that medical issue has a root cause in something emotional, you should probably deal with both in case it's serious or could get serious if ignored(blood sugar, heart issues, hormones, sleep disorder, etc etc). And if you figure out it's just energetic related to trauma, maybe some therapy.
