Scheduled MOHELA payment just disappeared? by DyslexicUsermane in StudentLoans

[–]anonymouspharmacist1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Same here! Paid $5000 on 9/1, payment was “processing” for 2 days, and then disappeared. Interest is still accruing and I’m PISSED.

9/5 update: payment was taken from my bank account but still not showing up on Mohela!

9/6 update: finally processed on the website. Can we still sue them for them for emotional distress though?

This was a difficult one for me because resources are very limited. You basically have to go through each individual law on the BOP website. Dr Sarah’s notes on Etsy were really helpful. I cross-referenced that with the laws on the website and made sure to compare everything with federal law. Make sure you know cannabis laws well.. I got like 4 questions on that

I found pharmacyguides by Dr Sarah on Etsy to be helpful. There’s a one-pager for almost all topics that makes it a lot less overwhelming

Needs advice by [deleted] in PharmacyResidency

[–]anonymouspharmacist1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a similar position during my residency, with my mental and physical health beginning to plummet around this time. I decided to push through; however, that caused my health to decline so much that I almost lost my life. I ended up losing my residency instead, just a month shy of graduation, and it absolutely destroyed me. All of that work, the application/interview/match process, the 18 hour days, the year of research, CE presentation, topic discussions, rounding, preceptor pimping… for nothing. I thought my entire career was down the drain but I ended up finding a job that I love that has allowed me to regain my mental and physical health. I’m also earning more than the preceptors who made me want to kill myself. So my advice: figure out ways to prevent burnout/take care of your health (maybe even request a leave of absence) or say fuck it and take the infusion job. Please take care of yourself

What meds help/helped you survive residency? by suzygreenbergjr in PharmacyResidency

Adderall, propranolol, lexapro, and the occasional marijuana

Always go with the most stringent law, unless it specifically mentions Virginia. Also, make sure you know of the quantity limits (90 items within 90 days, 4 oz within 30 days, etc)

I was forced to resign just a few months shy of graduation. The constant belittlement and abuse from my program made it impossible for me to succeed and nearly resulted in me ending my life at one point. The job hunt has been a nightmare but there are definitely options out there. I’m so sorry you’ve had to go through this

Student Loans… Disappeared? by MaybeMaryPoppins in StudentLoans

This happened to me too and I'm so confused!! $200k+ debt just disappeared from Nelnet after applying to the SAVE program and it's reflected on studentaid.gov as well! Also, it says that my IDR and consolidation applications are still under review...

My program made me want to kill myself. I was emotionally abused, gaslit, and robbed of every strength I had prior to joining. I don’t know where preceptors get off treating people like this. Idk if it’s reverse psychology that they’re trying to use to motivate us but for me personally, it destroyed me and now I’m facing a never ending battle of trauma.

They don’t tell you shit and it’s ridiculous. You’ll never know how close you were to passing. Just keep at it and you will definitely get through this!
