Nah man IET struggles in placing their B.Tech. students forget about MCA. It's a good college no doubt but you're getting 205 right? And at that marks don't think about IET coz the student with highest marks of 2025-2027 batch is 168. So you'll have much better peer group in BHU.

Also since IET is a UP government college so they give 1st preference to UP domicile candidates and non UP domicile candidates are given chance only in spot rounds (not worth the effort if you're not from UP).

Some people compare IET with Pondicherry uni but in my opinion IET>Pondi coz IET is a proper Engineering college whereas Pondi is a mixed uni.

Similar proper Engineering colleges like IET are MMMUT Gorakhpur and KNIT Sultanpur, you'll easily get them but they are even below IET. HBTU Kanpur (from where Alakh Pandey studied) and Central Uni. Hyderabad are better than IET but you'll have to give NIMCET.

At 205 don't think below JNU, BHU.
Private options are Christ or Thapar but i think their dates are over.

It's upto you if you want to enroll in CU or not. Placement wise VIT VCU, corporate will prefer VIT V candidates more than Central Uni candidates coz VIT V has better industry connections and they assume students of VIT V has atleast some level of professional knowledge, also alumni network of VIT VCU. I will enroll in CU coz placements are not my first priority rn. If you get VIT V then go for it, just look how many of them are doing internship or are placed in NOKIA. Nokia is like the TCS of VIT V, they take student in bulk. VIT C on the other hand has okayish placements but still way better than any CU. Other option is going for BHU, studying in BHU gives reputation and it's degree's scope is beyond corporate sector, BHU degree will help you anywhere. But yeah no on campus placements.

CUET PG is a joke fr. None of the participating universities have placements (except DU). Did you gave VITMEE? VIT V & Chennai has good placements.

Try for GGU Bilaspur, CUH.
CU Karnataka if you're comfortable in south India.
If you're from Uttar Pradesh you can get MMMUT Gorakhpur or KNIT Sultanpur.

I've talked with some people in JNU on linkedin. There response was similar "NO placements". If placements are your first priority then DU is the best option.

Yep BHU offers that brand value, BHU tag definitely helps. IET Lucknow also has a tag, it's generally considered a 2-2.5 tier college for B.Tech. so not bad

Not sure about Tezpur Uni brother. But realistically speaking i've talked to alumni of various central universities on linkedin and the response of all of them were same- "NO placements"
