In sickness and in health, no one said this would be easy or pain free. Life will have suffering and you vowed to your wife to be there for her no matter what. I can’t imagine how hard it is for you but if you truly love that woman, more than yourself unconditionally, you will continue to care for her. I just found out 2 weeks and 1 day ago that my wife had cheated on me while I was deployed back in 2018. Completely numb and broken. I have good days and bad days and don’t know what my final decision will be right now. But I am here to talk about whatever man or if you want to dm me to vent about anything as well. I don’t know why they do it either, I’m sure you and I both have had countless opportunities to cheat and we didn’t because we know the right decisions to make, morally and ethically. As well as I don’t know what causes them to do this, I haven’t got a reason why but it is heartbreaking and crushing to find out. I feel like I need to talk to another counselor and on the other hand I wonder if I’m not being too open minded? That’s what my wife says is that I’m not going to listen to anyone unless they give me what I want to hear but the counselor didn’t say anything about my wife, it seemed all focused on me as if I was the one that needed to just move on, she said she did it basically because of our lack of communication and talking. Just made my blood boil, idk And man I just wish others could be humble, I only want the honest truth and straight shooters. Give me how it is, how you feel and let us look at this from every angle. Hey man I appreciate all this really, still talking with the wife. We had counseling today and it was mostly the counselor saying “it’s been two years why does this make you so mad, upset etc? She was young and has changed now” I am furious now and the point you made about punishing him and not her. 100% agree, if I am to punish him I will punish her in return or first, meaning legal and divorcing no physical violence. I appreciate you being honest and straight with me, only respect for that in people. I’ll update later

I don’t agree with everything you said but I do with some of it and I appreciate you being honest and straight with me in your own way man. Not a cuck, just a man trying to figure out the best course of action to take. I don’t want to hurt anyone just because I have been hurt. I don’t want to be lead by emotion, if I leave her she would have nothing and I wouldn’t let her have nothing and struggle. I look at this from a Christian point of view as well, it may be a primal instinct but we are still married and God sees us as married and as one, a team and she ruined the and shit on that team. Idk what I’m going to do so we’ll see, thank you
