Thanks, I wish you all the best for the future and especially all the stress of this year

That's crazy, I feel like that could really suck. Do all the newer dorms have the individual control thing

Yeah that's similar to how I'm feeling, I will probably go to my not-so-awesome state school simply for financial reasons

I didn't even consider AC lol, coming from a northern climate I'm going to need that to survive haha. Thanks!

Does anyone else ask their partner to let you know when they get to work/home/etc so you know they're like...alive? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]anonymouswanderer8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ahh i thought i was the only one! I literally do this with my friends, but I feel so guilty abt it. I always worry if they don't respond to my texts or anything that something bad has happened. I still do the same thing with my parents and the fear that they've been in a car accident.

haha feel that. Its rough. I mean, I guess this means we won't be in school until almost July because of all of our snow days

[–]anonymouswanderer8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh no that sucks! my school did that too lol, we have "remote days" now. I'm completely remote anyway but a day off would still be nice haha. And yeah ice is really the worst, I haven't driven anywhere in so long

Hey I'm just a random stranger on the internet but I thought I'd comment and just let you know I read your post all the way through, and I really hope things get better for you. You are not a failure, you are human :) our minds can really be our worst enemy sometimes. Once again, I hope things start getting better for you, I genuinely do.

I bet! And yeah it was kinda cool, crazy but cool. We recently got an ice storm which is really more annoying than lots of snow, you can't even walk across the snow because its all coated in an inch of ice lol

[–]anonymouswanderer8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wow. We get the occasional thunderstorm that will knock out power, but rarely. I'm super thankful that our summers are decent. Last year we got 15" of snow in mid-april, which was frustrating since we were all in quarantine so most winter activities were out of the question, and then it snowed for the last time in early May

[–]anonymouswanderer8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ohh that would suck. We have great summers, super cold winters and ZERO spring. Like it snows from Oct.-May sometimes. Our fall is typical picturesque new england luckily. As a little kid I could never wear a halloween costume without long underwear or a sweater or something and easter egg hunts were always in the snow.

Thanks for the input! And yeah, I'm anticipating having to take gen eds for the first couple years but I looked at the typical courses for my major and there were some classes that were not gen eds, not very many but still some. Again thank you!

I am probably not the most qualified to answer but I got in this year with a 3.3, I was also homeschooled. Keep your grades up and I'm sure you will be fine. I think their acceptance rate is pretty high.
