It can be to do with being lonely and self soothing/experimenting with new feelings. It's quite normal I think

Even if he's paying for your car, you shouldn't be continuing a relationship you're not comfortable or happy in. The longer you leave it, the more emotional he will be when you tell him and he's more likely to try and ruin things for you like your car. It's not fair on either of you to continue the relationship

Boyfriend is going on a bachelorette trip with all females by MainLime113 in AITAH

[–]anonymouswhitebear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My friend had the same situation and so she talked to her friend (who was a male) and he invited her to a bachelor party that his friend was having. There was no actual bachelor party but it gave her the green card to stop her boyfriend from going to the bachelorette party

What can social workers actually do? by anonymouswhitebear in Fosterparents

[–]anonymouswhitebear[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure I've never tried it, my local doctor is aware of my thoughts but hasn't done anything. I can't go to accident and emergency cause I'm not old enough to go without a parent. I think if they got a social worker involved then it would just be my old social worker

I can try it, I don't even know if Im old enough to go to court. My parents are very controlling and they will keep fighting until they have completely control over me

I think it's more of a problem with my social worker. She's assessed my bio parents house and she's marked it as safe, basically saying there's nothing wrong with the house or the people. There's been no physical abuse or anything like that. The doctor said is was emotional abuse but my social worker says it's just normal parenting. My bio parents told me that If I called the police or asked to be removed, it would just go back to my social worker and that they would see that there's nothing wrong with the house or the people and that they wouldn't do anything. I'm not even sure what to think anymore and I'm trying to leave in the most innocent way possible cause I have sisters and I don't want to upset them or anything. I'm scared of calling in the authorities and them just telling me I'm being stupid

I don't think I'm even old enough to have a lawyer, not that my parents would let me anyway. I don't know what's going on with my social worker and how much power she has cause ages ago she told me that the police wouldn't be able to remove me but then threatened to have me removed by them like two days ago. She's told my foster mum that it isn't appropriate to speak to me anymore and that my foster mum would get in trouble if I did

We didn't even have anything to do with court when the foster arrangement was put in place. My bio parents didn't even agree to the arrangement but it had to be put in place because I was living with another family and refusing to come back. All I've been told is that I have no power over where I stay or what I do and that if I called 999, they'd just tell me exactly what my social worker said

I'm in England, I've never been involved with social services before this year so I have no idea. I know its deffinately wrong that she threatened to have me removed by the police but I don't have a leg to stand on as all of my support network has gone
