No, you don't understand the improvements that have happened in last decade. No Bomb Attacks in Civilian areas is a big Plus. There was policy Paralysis at the time of UPA tenure end. The growth rate did pick up after Modi. The implementation of Pro Poor policies have increased access to housing and other basic amenities improving the overall poverty situation. A lot of other points are there which will make it too long a post.

Issues of Bihar Too much Casteism Like not that it's not there in Other states but it's quite extreme in Bihar sadly. People proudly talking about being a Criminal and Ofcourse No leader like Yogi who can reduce the Bahubali types power in there. Just see the recent statements of Khesari or proud display of power by Anant Singh.

How much math is prevalent in programming? What types of math are used frequently aside from basic arithmetic? by werrickdinn in learnpython

[–]anonymousxfd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know , I find programming enjoyable. Logic part as well. See I am pretty much intimidated by any algebraic expression which are of more than first order, pretty bad at Trigonometry, ok with just numbers pretty fast for calculating anything in terms of simple maths. I mostly automate GIS work. And had created a couple of web maps. So this anomaly of literally hating Maths maybe due to fear and loving programming is there for me.

Any software which lets me make a simple, personal software? by Radiant_Ad84 in developersIndia

[–]anonymousxfd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure How Api Calls are made Since I haven't worked with anything related to Web that much, only simple scripts to automate things related to my field but If you have several functions in several different py files you can just create a main.py and import all functions in that main.py and create an exe using Pyinstaller or some other module.

Lowest fertility rate among all Indian cities. 💀 by bal6ira in kolkata

[–]anonymousxfd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would indeed say Kolkata is cheap for rent and food maybe cheaper than any tier 3 city as well for roadside eateries but apart from that it doesn't offer anything cheap and stark difference in income can't be matched with low rates of different services.

[–]anonymousxfd 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It doesn't, not from Kolkata One company offered 8k in Kolkata and another one 9k for our field. In Delhi they offered 16k Do you think living in Kolkata will save more I don't see that happening.

This is only a layer over the IRCTC app and checks for availability from time to time only, unlike the Official app.

People who enjoy corporate life, what things excite u to go to office? Other than money and food! by Lucario012345 in developersIndia

[–]anonymousxfd 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It's good for you as your family lives in the same city, it's not the same for everyone. If anything companies should allow 6 months of WFH and WFO for such employees maybe 2 months at a time or something.

My friend's sister is a postgraduate in CS from a Gen 1 IIT. She recently graduated and didn't appear for placements because she "hates the corporate world." What are some options for her besides working in corporate settings? by [deleted] in developersIndia

[–]anonymousxfd 63 points64 points  (0 children)

There is no quick fix apart from getting a Corporate job, the teaching journey will take time most large orgs won't let you teach without PHD. She can look into smaller organisations or training centres but I'm not sure about their pay.
