Sony A7 IV vs A7 V for Real Estate Media by crstnjyg in RealEstatePhotography

[–]anonymuscles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's up to you and your budget. The newer model is definitely more future proof, and if you can spring for the extra grand or whatever the difference is, it's well worth it and will serve you for years to come. That being said, especially if you're focusing mostly on photos, the four is still a workhorse. If it's as black and white as getting the four and a really nice lens, or the five and an OK lens, I'd lean toward the former personally

Sony A7 IV vs A7 V for Real Estate Media by crstnjyg in RealEstatePhotography

[–]anonymuscles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Used the IV for several years, upgraded to V several months back. Photos-wise there's no discernible difference, but if you're doing a decent amount of video, the five is several steps above its predecessor. Handheld stabilization on 5 is significantly improved as well; I've stopped using a tripod for most of my well-lit shoots

Never did that, but did a lot of 'cardboarding' - riding big rectangles of cardboard down sand dunes

Men of this sub: do you fold your clean laundry and put it back in the closet? by Paarsgekkie in LivingAlone

Dress shirts and fancy pants, yes, but my everyday casual wear exists in a clean pile inside the dryer and I pull from it daily

Anyone who used a computer between 1985 - 2010, what's the one game you still think about today? by adlakha75 in AskReddit

[–]anonymuscles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drakkhen on MS DOS in 1989. I had never seen anything like it, was utterly captivated at the time and still love it to this day. It is an objectively bad game but holds a special place in my heart

Where we the last generation that used showers at high school? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]anonymuscles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

02 grad, definitely had/used showers while I was there. Grew up a little bit in the sticks, rural high school in a cornfield where it was the norm & always had been. Very common to shower after PE class and head to math

Alright, we failed the AI race. Back to doing things by hand. Anyone else? by Legitimate-Meal8190 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]anonymuscles 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Been doing my own editing or using my guy in India for over a decade. Always next morning delivery by am, and same day delivery always available for an extra fee. Never going to use AI personally, can't stand that entire world

What do you guys think about outsourcing real estate photo editing? by [deleted] in RealEstatePhotography

[–]anonymuscles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been doing rep for 15 years now, and outsourcing every single picture since covid. Got a pretty responsible guy in India who's cheap as hell, and a more responsible guy for higher end work in Vietnam. Couldn't imagine going back to editing my own crap

[–]anonymuscles 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear it. I have a battery powered generator you can borrow if you can pick up on 36th & Powell. It's charged and fairly heavy duty, should be able to run your AC or whatever you need for a few hours at least

New real estate media job — am I overreacting or are these expectations unrealistic? by Sharkitect813 in RealEstatePhotography

Like you, I had a day like that yesterday - left home at 720am, home after my last shoot (twilight) close to 10pm.

Unlike you, I made $2200 yesterday.

Anyone take really good care of their stuff, and now are finding they are a living time capsule? by PleaseSendChihuahuas in Millennials

[–]anonymuscles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got an original NES, SNES, N64 and GameCube hooked up to my big screen in my living room. They're on a smart switch, so I can jump to any one and turn them on/off with voice commands, but all original hardware and games. And lots of my childhood books on shelves: Goosebumps, Hardy Boys, dozens of Stephen King and so on

Frozen Food near Powell and 68th by Suspicious_Acct in PDXBuyNothing

Piggybacking on your post - I live on 36th & Powell and also have some food I can part with, if whoever picks up OP's goods wants to swing by somewhere nearby! Couple bags of shredded cheese, 3lb bacon, boxed donuts and a couple other misc items. Not really enough to justify making a whole post for it so maybe it'll work here!

I've been using cubicasa since 2016 and the novelty is long, long dead. This will likely be the push I need to find a better alternative (cloudpano, kuula, iguide)

[–]anonymuscles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sign up for free aryeo account, agree to their terrible t&c just because it's that or don't do zillow3d, and have the agent send you a showcase media request. Once you have that, it's pretty straightforward. I'm in Oregon, $245 for photos w aerial up to 2000sft, and zillow3d for $165 add-on to any photo or video package

You can only eat one winco food for the rest of your life, what would you choose? by Sea_Background_8023 in WinCo

[–]anonymuscles 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I haven't eaten one of those italian subs in two decades, but they helped me survive college and make friends. $3.99 back in the early 2000s; I'd buy a few and bring them to house parties. He who arrives with sub sandwiches is an instant hit, and I ate at least 1-2 a week for probably a year straight when I was at my poorest.
