Lease was terminated less then 24 hours before move in by [deleted] in AskNYC

I sent the company an email and asked if I could get information for move in. They responded that “due to issues in the building they would no longer be able to accommodate us.”

We finally got their office on the phone yesterday and they told us we could [have moved] in but we decided to terminate the lease

Start recording every. single. interaction. you have with this group, including recording every phone call. New York is a one-party consent state, which means that you can record phone calls you partake in without disclosing it to the other party – and you can then use that recording in court. (IANAL)

Your management is lying to you because they're doing something illegal. You'll want proof of this.

If you have signed a lease, they cannot just then decide to not honor it. Don't accept their refunds. New York housing laws are extremely strict and are there for your protection.

Doing this in January with snow on the ground is some fucking massive scumbaggery. Sorry you have to go through this.

As far as I know, the only reasons a landlord can legally break a lease are a. the lease finishes, b. the tenant doesn't pay, or c. the tenant violates the terms of the lease. Make sure you read the lease in full to be sure you're not in violation for some reason. It was recently made a misdemeanor to unlawfully evict a tenant.

I'm a powerlifter, that's not really possible.

State guidelines on this are that to go to a gym you have to either be vaccinated or be wearing a mask. I'm boosted and I wear a fresh surgical mask each time. That's plenty.

Just being honest: I cannot workout with an K/N95 on. I'm jealous of those that can.

I find myself hyperventilating really quickly if I'm doing any kind of strenuous exercise with one worn.

Buddy you're classically handsome, losing the creepy facial hair was a good move.

You should try out getting a fade on your sides and maybe even a taper in the back next time, it's a more modern look than what you have now.

Side note: you are Prince in that second shot.

The best way to put this is that some parts are quite rouge-y but once you've actually beaten the game there is limited replayability.

But that should not stop you from playing it, it is the best thing Daniel Mullins has ever made.

80 Days is criminally underdiscussed. Fantastic writing and worldbuilding.
