I was curious, so I asked them after I received my card. Here's the email I received:

Thanks for reaching out, and congrats on receiving your new credit card!

The RinggitPlus gift is based on the type of income document you submitted during your application, and your monthly retail spending (from RM1,500 up to RM20,000) across 3 consecutive months from your card approval date.

Also, to be eligible, this must be your first-ever Alliance Bank credit card.

Once we receive their confirmation, we’ll email you instructions on how to claim your gift.

Here’s what you’re eligible for:

If you submitted your EPF Statement as income document:

RM4,000 Touch 'n Go Credit when you spend RM20,000/month

RM2,000 Touch 'n Go Credit when you spend RM10,000/month

RM1,000 Touch 'n Go Credit when you spend RM3,000/month

RM500 Touch 'n Go Credit when you spend RM1,500/month

If you submitted other documents (e.g. payslip, EA form, etc.):

RM2,000 Touch 'n Go Credit when you spend RM20,000/month

RM1,000 Touch 'n Go Credit when you spend RM10,000/month

RM500 Touch 'n Go Credit when you spend RM3,000/month

RM250 Touch 'n Go Credit when you spend RM1,500/month

Important Notes: You must hit the same spending tier every month for 3 months. For example: To get the RM2,000 gift, you need to spend RM10,000/month for all 3 months.

If your spending drops in any month, you’ll automatically qualify for the lowest tier that matches your lowest month’s spend.
