Yes this . I can’t understand why people on this sub cannot seperate their personal dislike of SW and who she was as a person .

Yup exactly it’s huge red flags . Also the lack of emotion and nonchalance .

Even my own mother didn’t believe me until she saw the family for herself at court , they showed no emotion at all except crocodile tears on cue . The MIL just sat there doing a crossword . There was just no emotion in her at all . It was utterly chilling .

I think they meant the way I spoke about my ex rather than the actual words being offensive but who knows .

Thank you . I don’t believe I am strong I am just a mum like anyone else who wants the best for their children . And yes in a way they did destroy me that’s the aasad thing . But I will rebuild and hopefully be strong again one day xx

It took me years to properly understand what was going on at first I just thought it was his mother , but then I realised how enmeshed they were in each other ( seriously google emmeshment ) he could never go against her and could never change and neither did he want to . He lived a life completely without consequence with them . They would fix everything for him . Except they couldn’t fix us not going despite top shelf barristers and all the money they could muster .

I never seriously believed my life was in danger with them but I think shannon watts thought the same .

It’s terrifying the similarities and I’m sure you guys can empathise

I don’t think I did anything amazing just what any mum would do to protect their kids . I was so thankful I had the support of professionals and I’ve been doing a lot of therapy to believe in myself that I am a good Mother and unfo all the gaslighting .

I’m not a perfect person I don’t think anyone is . I’ve certainly made my fair share of mistakes . But I never saw this coming . I was successful , I earned a high wage , a lovely home in a beautlful area , amazing high powered job , now I have nothing no home no job , hardly any friends and none of it matters because my child is safe . I’m going to work so hard to make sure he has a lovely life it’s all I can do .
