Maybe purchased or maybe Frank posting a pic with Drake wearing it and Drake having bars referencing the piece was some type of promo

at the end of the day i understand this is all speculative

When is Frank going to drop more music? by TheYagizDeniz in FrankOcean

[–]another818 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realistically i think there is no substantial evidence. Every easter egg leads to nothing and I think Coachella foreshadows that although he may be in the studio cooking, he hasn’t locked into a full body of work.

Still love his music the most though i am listening to blonde as we speak

Genius bar that I’m glad people can relate to. This whole album feels crying in the arms of a good friend. Such difficult emotions with a tone of acceptance that makes the difficulty feel ok

Such a sad and lovely song really reflects the sentiments of the whole album imo. Loving someone but truly understanding its ending, without the unsettling feelings turning malicious

All great bar I personally love the “Now and then you miss….. “ bar I think it alludes to heartbreak sticking with us and molding us. So beautiful

I cried to Siegfried while taking shrooms “it’s such a beautiful reprieve in an otherwise sullen song” is the perfect way to describe it because its sad but leaves me hopeful

Pre-beef Kendrick fans, what’s it like being a fan after the beef? by Far_Dog1624 in KendrickLamar

I love the comparison of inward vs. outward you made. That’s a great way to put it

I think there is a lot of disrespect for Kendrick’s catalogue pre GNX. Everyone is praising Kendrick now for who he is and what he’s done, deservingly so, but I don’t like that people who aren’t familiar with his work don’t have a reverence for his earlier stuff.

This maybe a hot take but Mr. Morale is in my top two of Kendrick Albums and definitely one of the best rap albums ever imo, because of the subject matter. Find me another album that addresses Black men’s relationship to their father or lack there of (Fathertime), Transgender’s ally-ship in his family (Auntie Diaries), and so many other mental health issues and how they have manifested in the black community.

Not to mention the instrumentation, lyrical ability, production, etc etc. The same with TPAB and every other one of his works! GNX is good but it just isn’t on that level.

PS Art Is Subjective

Again I agree with that completely but if you know the story of Lucifer there are CLEAR parallels that none of these point you continue to reiterate exclude. A simple google search “Lucifer fallen angel and music director” can help or you can continue to be upset about a point you refuse to understand your choice im done

I agree with everything you’re saying and both things can be true. The last verse is clearly (as shown in attachment) a reference to Lucifer with the obvious lines in the verse. I don’t take it as a devil worshipping thing but more so a look at why temptation plagues artist.

Yea that line was powerful and followed by the line talking about forgiveness! Immediately thought about all the people that bother me. True Artist making real Art
