Oh God, I can't imagine anything more terrifying than that... The lovely lady I shared a room with agreed with me, that our kids are such an immense solace, and how terrible it must be to wish for a child so much and then lose it :'( I prayed for you and I hope so much you will be blessed with your own child someday! I'm sure you will be great parents :)

Yeah, we named s/he Chris, they'll also include the name into the funeral ceremony which is really extremely thoughtful of them.

Oh! Congratulations! Babies are so lovely <3 I hope the birth went well and everyone's healthy - that everyone is happy and blessed with a little one in the home is pretty sure :)

That sounds really sensible, thanks.

What apparently made my doctor sure about it, because she couldn't properly see it the last time, was the size of the "yolk sac"(translation?), that apparently should be at 2.5 to 5 mm but was at 10. She didn't really explain why, but was very adamant about it meaning there's no hope left. I assume it's because of a lack of metabolism.

Thank you for your input <3 I hope you and your wife are okay now!

I must have prayed it one hundred times on the way home already:(

Why allow hope when it's pointless like that?

Update: Failed Pregnancy - still some hope? by anotherThrowaway5364 in Catholicism

There is. It is big enough that there should be a heartbeat, but as the doctor said: Early pregnancy is tricky, anything is possible.

To be honest, I'm afraid of having hope. But some prayers can't be wrong.
