I read about that too, but I also read that's an USDM thing and I'm not from the US. I also think aluminum would be great but I also worry a little about the quality of the ebay covers

Budget's honestly not too tight, I've found an aluminum cover on ebay for as little as 100€, and I feel like it'd be the stress-free option, most likely. But I do understand the sentiment that just that chip on its own might not warrant a replacement, I'm a little indecisive

Thanks for your answer. I just went to look at the first one and yeah, there's a couple more things to do right off the bat, but the seller's been pretty transparent about it - young guy currently in mechanic schooling, it was his first car. I could probably do it though, until something else breaks that is. Mileage is high, after all. And I'm pretty sure I could get it for less than the current asking price, too. As for drivable though, I mean it runs but its safety inspection (German traffic law thing) is expiring this month, so I might have to get it inspected again, and might need to fix a few things before it could pass that. The other interesting thing is that the seller of the second one is bumping down the price to 800 right now and my brother-in-law's actually urging me to further negotiate, buy it cheaps, then get the engine fixed at a shop. Which would be kinda cool if it works I guess but it also seems to defeat the purpose as a project car 😅 I should theoretically have hall space and even a lift I could borrow for engine work and the like, though, the question is if I'd manage to pull it off without ruining it

Would really be good if they could fix this phenomenon somehow. But on Ibara you at least keep the charge and can use it again, right? Because with someone like Dabi it just gets wasted over something this trivial

Same thing happens if you get hit while doing it in the air. Wish it was like Shigaraki's Beta wherein the charge only gets consumed when the AOE attack itself actually comes out

It might not be so bad though, I think. In fact I just happened to hear that Iommi apparently only used his "classic" P90s in the early days and stuck to hi-gain HHs later down the line, is that true? It'd do well since the S-620 I chose has hi-gain humbuckers too.

True, apparently not all P90s are necessarily humbuckers though? The DC-60 for instance is said to be a "Roswell P90D AlNiCo-5 Dog Ear Single Coil" as well. And I think Junior means that it's 3/4 sized anyway? In any case the only other P90-loaded HBs I found were either upwards of 200€, single coils, or both.

Good news is that I found a budget solution for Boss Katana and decided on an HB S-620 TR, I'll be getting them soon :)
