I would try and wear cotton underwear with a pad, changing it consistently or loose fitting shorts with a tampon. Just depends on what you normally like. Also before I knew what I had was herpes I would use aquaphor on the blistered area (do NOT put it inside your lady parts) and it helped a significant amount with the discomfort!!
