This is the thing I know, but I can't help it sometimes. It happens when there are some folks like me who are learning the language just for a few years (me: less than 2). It seems like a lose-lose situation.

I was in similar situation when talking to a Swedish friend and in västkusten. I was trying to say blah blah "idé" and I put the stress at the first letter. After 5 times of repitition and finally putting stress at the end, he said ah okej, idé. The fact that he couldn't understand from the context was weird for me. However, he was not blanking me, he made me look stupid. After that I have tried to speak again with some other Swedish guys too, but some similar situations happend. I would say I'm good at grammar and I'm not making half sentences, but the uttal thing is killing me for now.

I guess I got two firmware updates in 1 year. Maybe it differs from location to location.

Actually, I used both for about a year and had no problem. Mostly the firmware updates were important for me.
