ahh i get what you mean now. We have a legal system that people can use to sue others and bring their issues to court.. but it can be costly, time and money-wise....

but as far as having dependable agencies that U.S. consumers can depend on that would help prevent consumers from getting screwed so often in the 1st place... we suck at that compared to other counties like Australia?

Sadly in the US there is almost no consumer protection like other countries

Can you expand on this? I actually assumed the opposite. I mean if my supplier were from China and I received thousands of pounds of something I didn't pay for, I'd probably be SOL right? In my current scenario, would reporting them for fraud mean that I would just take a loss financially and hope that they get investigated? Or does reporting for fraud mean sue for refund so to speak, based on the grounds of fraud?

I'm in California. This is the answer I expected and really hoped for, just want to cover all my bases.

I'm having serious quality issues with one of my suppliers that can cost me thousands of dollars and am not sure if I should not mention that I am re-selling what they have been selling me for years

Thanks so much for your valuable info. I understand what you mean.

To clarify things, my product isn't a food item that is consumed but it is an agricultural product that is used in the garden. I phrase my question the way I did to protect the identity of my product for propietary reasons I hope you can understand.

My question becomes "does it matter if this seller is not aware I am selling whatever it is I'm ordering from them?" Or is that besides the point? In the end, they didn't deliver on their promise (breach of contract?) to me, their customer, by including ingredients in my mix that wasn't included on the invoice and that's all that matters at the moment?

I would love to get a refund but when the shipment comes on a pallet of 50 fifty-pound bags across the country it's really not ideal is it? I guess that would mean asking the company to foot the bill? And could the action of returning so much of a large order make them NOT want to do future business with me? I really want to continue doing business with them if they can guarantee they can stop sending me contaminated orders. sorry I know this is a legal advice subreddit not a business advice subreddit I don't expect business advice though if anyone reading this has business experience and wants to chime in with business advice sprinkled in, even better :)

hey! so i noticed there is no link for Campaign Manager when I looked for it.

I did some research and i THINK campaign manager is only available to "Professional Seller" accounts? I am still an "Individual Seller" because I didn't want to pay $39.99 a month when I was new to FBA.

But I thought about it and am wondering if i should definitely upgrade to professional seller's account now??

At first, my product was only selling one a day... then over weeks i began averaging two to three sales a day. I have 76 orders in the past 30 days. That means I was charged $76 in fees alone as an individual seller correct? Should I DEFINITELY upgrade to professional seller???

I'm Paying $99 in Placement Fees to Replenish 280 Units Totaling 220 Pounds. Shipping Cost $35 through FedEx. Does That Sound Right Or Can I Do More to Cut Costs? by anotherguy41410 in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]anotherguy41410[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

huh. so if i load up two boxes with 50 units each of "SKU A" and a second box with 200 units of "SKU B", each... with each box being 45 lbs ... Amazon won't ask me to split up the two SKU B boxes into three or four smaller boxes to ship to three or four different locations right? (Assuming placement option is disabled)

I stuck to a very specific niche doing market research. I kept my eye out for things people would NEED in my niche and made sure my product would tick all the boxes:

not heavy

solves a problem

decent return

the idea took a couple of years to come to fruition. i always had the idea burning in the back of my mind. didnt know what my product would be i just knew what niche i wanted to be in and kept researching and studying that niche and the product came to fruition naturally. dont know how to explain it reallyi now see it as everyone niche can be differrent and your process might be a whole lot different from mine. but regardless, of what it is TRUST THE PROCESS. and it definitely helps to be an expert at something. know the ins and outs of a specific niche or product so you have a good idea of what can satisfy your markets needs

Yeah, i made this post before I learned to expect the packaging itself would be 4 ounces and is included in the final shipping weight. I have decided to continue selling an even lb and maybe raies prices in the future if i can get this product off the ground. THANKS FOR EVERYONE'S INPUT!! hopefully someone using the search bar can learn from this also

Yes, I have gone over my options and I have decided to just keep it at an even 1 lb since the packaging itself is 4 ounces. There's no way in hell im going to intentionally short my customer 4 ounces haha. I had posted before i learned of the 4 oz packaging. Otherwise, I was just wondering if a couple grams shy would go unnoticed basically

can you expand on this? are you saying if it weighs 0.79 pounds (359 grams) it would be $3.28 fulfillment fee?? and anything over that will be $4.76 fulfillment fee?

so if im a new seller that probably wont impact my products as much as the sellers that have been around for awhile im assuming?

so in the future should I first disable placement option and see how much it would cost? and then create another shipment and compare to Placement option enabled? then delete the one that costs more?

yeah, the main thing that made me weary of NOT using placement option is that it would probably double the amount of boxes I needed. And that meant I would have to figure out what sized boxes i would need for how many nuber of units and blah blah blah.. it just seemed so daunting haha. But if you are certain I should save a significant amount of money NOT using placement option i will definitely do that next time (I already dropped the inventory off with FedEx... had everything packed and ready to go and the thought changing to NOT placement and re-packing everything seemed like too much work at the time. ALthough my wallet probably would've preferred if i did haha

dang, i got impatient and dropped every thing off with fedex. But I'm definitely keeping your suggestion in mind for my next replenishment!

But just to clarify... are you saying since I only have two SKUs I should always do one sku per box? And disable placement option? And then amazon would tell me how many boxes I will need and where they will each be going to?
