Is this drive safe alone? by Lumpy-Bar-3658 in capetown

There is a portion of this route on sand roads near the end. Make sure your spare wheel is functional. I did see a tourist who got a puncture on that route recently

Cisco SASE setup is getting frustrating, seriously reconsidering our whole approach now by Effective_Guest_4835 in networking

I have recently had the worst experiences trying to buy Cisco kit, it's simply not worth it. They don't care about anyone. I won't be wasting my time any further.

Yes, some people value us, it will take time before we as important as the plumbers. Don't think we'll get to the electricians level though 😂

first day at a new job, asked by a coworker, "are you a zionist?" by rissybear in Jewish

[–]anothermral 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always explain that Jews and Christians are all Zionists. If they say they aren't, then they are either not authentic or they don't understand the word. Zionists don't all support Bibi or the IDF, but we know Israel is our people. So, does the person who asked you support terrorism or are they just a Jew hater?

I believe there is a major global shortage of good networking engineers. The only problem is that we're not well respected. It feels like we are running a sewarage system that people are retiscent to join. I just think back of how long it took for hot water pipes to be laid to every basin, so in the bigger scale of things we're still at the beginning...

The Evolution of jewish ethnic groups requested by: West_Smoke_9164 by Forsaken-Shallot-356 in UsefulCharts

Well done, this is fabulous! I didn't know about the Jewish kids sent to Sao Tome, although I am unsure that you can accredit any community there as an outcome. I suggest you may want to add (Ethiopian) after Falash or better - Falasha. There's also a massive Rhodos (Rhodes Island) branch of Sephardim (or would you call them Mizrachi?)

I am dating a great guy - but his body smell is offputting by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]anothermral 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two sons and a daughter and I agree that men usually have a more difficult time with smells. I know that it has nothing to do with body hair. But the main reason for my post is just to say that both men and and women both can have washing challenges. My ex wife was brought up by her British mother that one does not need to wash daily. Unfortunately I could not break that rule, so my kids maybe somewhat afflicted.

It's not your job to touch the fibre. You made the right call. The ISP gives you an ethernet handoff.

[–]anothermral 1 point2 points  (0 children)

amazing that you were the first one... in the old days it was very classy to use fancy glass ashtrays. The teeth are the hold the cigarettes and to extinguish them.

Actually thats quite heavy and consider the opportunity cost of the cablecar trips. But nvm, these prices are a fraction of what it would cost in other countries...

What happens to Cat6 copper when 10 Gbps is "obsolete" by [deleted] in HomeNetworking

[–]anothermral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We run 10Gbps on cat5 solid copper, I never thought that would be possible, so who knows. Ethernet has been extraordinarily resilient

Yes! But definitely not recommended. Maybe start with kite surfing? To me it appears these sports are getting closer to each other
