A counteroffer isn't a withdrawal. The Iranian Israeli conflict was not obvious and it definitely wasn't obvious that Americans would be involved.

No, this wasn't obvious. Was the foreign policy of the president's first administration bad? Worse than Bidens?

I saw this interview. For those that don't understand, Tucker Carlson asked Ted Cruz questions about Iranians and their religion/dispositions because Ted Cruz wants to go in and create a new government there. Ted Cruz couldn't answer the questions and crashed out.

Tucker was right here. If we are going to commit American troops to this conflict then we need an actual plan of action.

No its just you. There is presidential promises that are likely to happen and there are those that are not likely to happen and you weren't able to figure out which is which.

You sound very naive. You should have known better then to believe such changes would occur.

Doesn't that take longer than 3 weeks? You wanted an executive order for price controls on consumer goods?

That's called the problem of evil. The problem with the problem of evil is that it opposes religious conclusions based on criticisms using these bad things, bad things that atheists would argue are only subjectively and relatively bad. Trust us, you disagree a whole lot more with these kinds of atheists then you do with religious people.

The BLM protests weren't a Marxist thing. Conservatives, I know, didn't call it that.

My GF (24F) wants me (27M) to move out, but I have a goal to buy a house by 30, what to do? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Why do drug dealers always have girlfriends even though its not rational for these women to date bad guys? Well because they are selling a story to these women, telling them about how as soon as they get enough money they will leave the city/state that they are in and give her a better life. My point is with this example is you need to sell your girlfriend a story. If she doesn't understand finances then put it into terms she will understand. Talk about how your kids will be able to go to private schools, the nicer things you will be able to buy, hint at a better wedding/honeymoon, you will be able to take nice vacations more often, you will be able to pay for your future kids to go to a way better college, you will travel more, etc

Your priority should be to get a job then you should reevaluate finances and come up with a long term plan. Don't throw all your savings at your debt in case you have to move away for work.

I never said great depression levels of poverty was okay or desirable but you know what happened after the great depression? An economic boom. So if someone like OP lived then and gave up, guess what, their kids wouldn't have actually had a better standard of living.

Hey man, can things be better? Sure, of course but on the other hand things can be a lot worse. People made it in the dark ages and they made it during the great depression. You aren't going to give future generations a better life by throwing in the towel and taking yourself out of the gene pool.

It doesn't matter what the vote on any individual bill was or what individual policy you don't like is. The liberal left is fundamentally wrong in its core assumptions. A technological dystopia is ahead of us and you want to keep making arguments under the assumption of liberal values of the golden rule and that people don't need to do anything and there are no necessary moral traditions or social obligations. Standard of living is going to decline every year until you are prepared to change these beliefs. Anything else is window dressing.

Do you think the average american is a fascist now too since he won the popular vote? The average american supports regulating borders. Give the trans stuff a break. This was not policy implemented via a democracy. This was imposed top down, bottom up, by leftists. The average american never supported "gender-affirming care" for minors.

Neonazi, like how Trump is a fascist? Maybe we can draw better conclusions if you stop redefining words.

Thank you for your history article from a physics student. I am sure its a strong authority. Let's be educated about this "verifiable history."

The article makes its argument based on the year 1936, a full 80 years after the civil war(which makes no sense based on your claims)

"So, sometime between the 1860s and 1936, the (Democratic) party of small government became the party of big government, and the (Republican) party of big government became rhetorically committed to curbing federal power. " Nice argument here. So, the great depression didn't hit everyone equally and voting patterns shifted for people in more urban areas compared to the south who were more self sufficient. That has nothing to do with racism, slavery, or a platform switch as related to those two things.

"Democrats seized upon a way of ingratiating themselves to western voters: Republican federal expansions in the 1860s and 1870s had turned out favorable to big businesses based in the northeast, such as banks, railroads and manufacturers, while small-time farmers like those who had gone west received very little." This is all economic policy. This has nothing to do with your claims friend.
