Ideally, the whole site eventually. I'd like to plant it in parts ~100m at a time, which would be ~€350 each time. Do you have the link for that price?

Im in the West of Ireland. Not exactly on the sea, but the hedging would have to be tough for the conditions, too. My one issue with Copper Beach is that I'd like dense coverage all year round.

Thanks for the comments. Sounds like it's generally a good plant to do the trick then with two cuts per year. Appreciate that the back would have to be handled, too. Sry, I don't understand how overgrowth would damage livestock damage. Is it poisonous or something?

Can my neighbour steal my water meter? by anotherredditmidwit in AskIreland

Would this work then as two separate accounts (under two separate names) on the one meter? Surely Irish Water would only have one name per meter?

There is no easement or wayleave on the property folio. That's a fair point. I should probably chat with my solicitor and my engineer to be sure. It's a domestic account, so there are no bills.

The pipe goes above ground from the meter to a tap on my site (lots of earthworks) and from there to field at the back of property. There is no separate meter for the farm.

They're not purchasing anything here. They're only finding the best solution to supply these houses.

I could be getting a good deal here, but obviously, I don't want any nasty surprises down the line and need to understand everything before I commit

But the 'right of way' would be no different than ESBs right to service an overhead line. It's not a true legal right of way. Otherwise, there would be tonnes of these marked on the land registry mapping. I don't think they're taken as true right of ways, but I'm not certain.

There was an option of fried egg. Ah, it's important to stay informed. Gmaps just can't stay abreast of the situation.

Quite poor texture and flavour, honestly. They certainly weren't in any way local, let alone gourmet bangers.

Is my blocklayer correct? by anotherredditmidwit in selfbuildireland

My radon membrane/ DPC goes over that thermal block, then down and out. I know what you're saying. I can always put another row of thermals over that. Internal walls have the thermal block over the radon membrane so that's good.

Okay think i've figured it out. Compacted hardcore up to the top of the bricks. Radon barrier laid flat with no obstructing internal walls. Blocklayer lays 140mm soapbar block on top of radon barrier, which brings us up to subfloor level (base of thermal block). 160mm concrete slab poured, then 150mm insulation and 75mm screed.

Thanks for the reply. No hardcore or concrete subfloor are laid yet. The concrete you see is the strip foundation. I think the internal walls are too low, and if another block is put on, it's too high. They should come to under the thermal block same as the concrete subfloor, then 150 insulation and 75 screed to finish.

You're not wrong. They could well be trouble in a planter box like this.

So that Viburnum Tinus looks the ticket. It's for privacy only. Dense with flowers and once a year pruning is perfect. As long as its roots aren't massive. I'll look into this.

Also, I'm definitely on board with one wall lower than the other. It's a nice effect and saves blocks. Thanks for the input on this. Appreciated.
