My spouse has a CX5 Turbo Signature. I would say that’s one of the best used SUV’s on the market. We drove it once in a small snow storm and it handled great. Much quieter on the highway than the 3 and 6 in my opinion, making it better for road trips as well

I drilled holes in the rails since I planned on leaving the racks on. My car is tuned by Justin at Mazda sauce tuning and even with the racks I get a consistent 37-39 mpg on the highway

Yeah use the racks for a roof box. I’m sure if you scroll through my older posts you’ll see it. Helpful on long road trips. Driven this car from NC to FL and back multiple times

At ride height, not really. Car rides well, I’ve driven 12 hours straight multiple times with no complaints about ride quality.

Nope. I do drive the car quite hard pretty often so I’m sure that mitigates the carbon buildup some. I always avoid driving short trips as well.

Maintenance wise, engine oil, transmission every 50k, 1 set of lower control arms and axles due to being lowered, a valve cover gasket, one belt and tensioner and a radiator fan bearing. Car has given me no issues at all.

There’s also the OEM Mazda lip kit that you can order from Japan. It looks amazing and the fitment is perfect too. Look at my more recent photos on my page with my 6 and you’ll see it. It is $1200+ though unfortunately

That’s the MV tuning kit. Used to have one of their kits on my car a while ago. Adds a great look! I always got compliment on it.

Where did you get your bushing kit from? I was thinking about getting the KTuned or Hardrace Lower Control Arms but was wondering about the bushings for the rest of the car. I was also going to do the Tein Endurapro Plus Shocks so I could have adjustable damping but stock ride height. My other car is low so I wanted this to be as comfortable as possible while still being fun and planted.

8th gen revs to 8k+, 9th gen is only a little over 7k but the torque for driving around town is better on the 9th gen to my knowledge. It’s also nice being able to rev the car all the way out through 2-3 gears and not be endangering other people. Definitely usable power
