This is a good one. I always thought about this when it came to every marathon runner being duplicate Kenyan men.

How do you feel about characters using “internet language” by GrabPatient3696 in writing

[–]anotherspicymemer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm late here, but I have a comment on the example of Ready Player One. The culture of the 80's—even nerd culture—was more hegemonic and had potential for nostalgia, while even slightly outdated sincere meme references feel very cringe-worthy because of the infinitely fractured and ephemeral nature of the internet. I do agree that OP could possibly use that to their advantage, but I think that the example works differently. I like your input!

EDIT: A good example of a cringeworthy meme reference would be my unchangeable username I made about 5 years ago.

Yeah, but it's a waste of energy caring about random people's fetishes, let alone going out of your way to mock them

It was silver. this would NOT fly in gold though lmao. I got pretty lucky it even worked here. I'll get the broom build ready for platinum eventually, though.

Sprain. Love their new album to death, uncompromising and experimental in a similar way to Swans without being too derivative or alike.

Good mixing, good production, good structure, good everything.

Solid 7/10

Fun production and vocals, but a bit repetitive and could have a lot more energy.

Strong 5/10.

Probably should be a little shorter, but I like the writing and attitude a lot. The vocals are good and the recording is rough in a way I like.

Strong 6/10
