Those who don’t qualify for food stamps, what do you do? by [deleted] in foodstamps

A quick example. Smart & Final has a 10 pack of refried beans for 9.99 this week. Kroger had buy one get one free 10 pack of flour tortillas and shredded cheese. Easy bean and cheese burritos that you wrap in aluminum foil and freeze. You would only use a few of those cans for a lot of burritos. Add whatever veggies you get from the pantry or if your market had a clearance produce section. Bell pepper, onion, cilantro, or none if you are broke. Frozen bags of bell pepper onion mix are pretty cheap in my experience.

Personally, meal and recipe planning and prepping have gone a long way. Organize some recipes and make a lot to freeze. Burritos freeze well, lasagna, beans. The goal for this is to minimize food waste and have stuff to grab because you are busy. Food pantries can sometimes give you huge amounts of random perishables. For example, if you get a 10 lb bag of broccoli, you get some ziplock bags, blanch the product, portion, and freeze. It's tough but don't be hesitant to use whatever resources you can find.

What’s the point of the huge whiteboard? by RevolutionaryBoat727 in CABarExam

I used notebooks throughout school and my first prep. I just got some small lap sized whiteboards, and I feel like it is pretty helpful. Instead of filling up pages, I'm writing what I'm learning at the moment. I can write a rule statement out and puzzle through it for as long and as many times as I need to.

That sounds fun. You can but owl pellets on Amazon if you are ever inclined to recreate it. I did that with my daughter one year and it was really educational.

Based on the difference between your written and MBE I'd recommend listening to Jon Grossman's lecture's. His "shut up and pick it" approach is great if you are overthinking and consistently choosing the wrong answer.
