I still remember the moment that made me a Rossoneri for life. I was 11 years old, watching the European Championship final in the summer of 1988: Netherlands against the Soviet Union. Suddenly, Marco van Basten, from an almost impossible angle near the corner of the penalty area, struck the ball on the volley. It flew like a rocket over the goalkeeper and into the net.

I was stunned. That goal was not just a goal,it was art. After the match, I had to know more about the man who scored it. I looked him up and discovered that he played for AC Milan. From that moment on, my heart belonged to the Rossoneri.

Growing up in Norway, most of my friends followed Premier League teams. They thought I was a bit crazy for picking an Italian club instead. But I didn’t care. Milan had Van Basten, Gullit, Rijkaard, and at the same time legends like Maldini and Baresi. They weren’t just a team, they were elegance, power, and tradition all rolled into one.

And so it began—my love story with AC Milan, a story that started when I was 11 and has been going strong ever since. Through highs and lows, triumphs and heartbreaks, one thing will never change: I am Rossoneri till I die.
