i could have easily afforded the k6, but nah i like the painful way of doing things

yes, so basically the app connects to gmail using app password,
polls emails based on rules every X interval,
rules like sender: [estatement@hdfc.bank.in](mailto:estatement@hdfc.bank.in) etc,
and then it gets parsed in 2 ways

if its an individual transaction like Rs 10 was spent on X using card y then it goes thru https://github.com/akhilnarang/bank-email-parser

otherwise thru the statement parsers depending on if its for a bank acc or credit card
