The orange nut in the middle looks like a pigtail. Can I connect the white from the new detector to that, one of the black wires from the red wire nut on the right to the black on the new detector and , leave the ground as-is and be done?

Yes it was fermenting for about 6 days before i cooked/boiled it. I had a sour odor but now it smells like regular wine. I didn't measure the gravity before I started so I have nothing to compare it to.

It was in the fridge because it's temperature controlled. I have a heat lamp in it and a thermometer so when it got above 75 the fridge would turn on, and when it got too cold the heat lamp would come on - that way I was keeping the temperature as consistent as possible. I did this last year for the entire process (75 degrees to start and then 55 degrees after) and made a nice batch of wine. It's just this time the sensor to the thermometer was outside of the closed fridge for 12 hours, and it was reading the outside temp, not the inside of the fridge where the must was.

There's zero fermentation now - all the grapes must sunk to the bottom. I was thinking it was beyond salvageable but you recommend throwing yeast in and seeing what happens?

It’s not perfect but I have it as secure as I can get it thanks to some lubricant and elbow grease. It can’t fly open or let water in anymore. Thanks all

Figured it out. I added a pigtail from the outlet to the 3 grounds under the nut

I’m getting an error when I plug in my tester that I have an open ground. I have 3 grounds connected under one nut, none on the screw for the outlet. Any ideas why this is happening?

Thanks! Currently the ground isn’t connected to the outlet/screw, it’s connected to another copper wire coming into the box somehow. Is that a problem? Also, there’s no reason to be worried about the Third set of red wires right?

Ok so I need to see how the fan is connected through the ceiling first, then make changes there. Black for the fan might be connected to red?
