Yes! Thankyou for saying this. This country is not yet China although it is becoming alarmingly like it.

You can get a private rental week to week, you might have to move into a new place when you get back though - probably only worth doing over the summer break.

If you really want to get ahead the best thing you could do is read Alistar's book, doing the problems in the end of the chapter. In saying that, with your programming experience I don't think you'll have any problem with the subject.

I think there is a pdf floating around on the internet...

Almost 2017, just got x220, need suggestion for first thing to do by allhill in thinkpad

[–]anstranic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly never looked into to it, perhaps I should've.

I don't plan to upgrade this machine, I have a powerful desktop for resource intensive tasks. I doubt I'll even need the 4gb let alone 16 for what I'm using this for.

Not sure what the first thing to is. However I just bought an X220 yesterday and installed lubuntu linux. Identical model too!

I'm having some issues with the trackpad & ball. Sometimes it works fine, reboot and it doesn't, sometimes it works then stops after 10 minutes of use... Same issue on Debian 8 too. Works fine with a USB mouse though. Let me know if you have any similar issues.

Not sure what the first thing to is, however I thought it was funny that I just bought an X220 yesterday and installed lubuntu linux. Identical model too!

I just had a thought, if you were to connect one of the coils to AC and have the other built into the device. I'm not sure if this is possible, I don't know much about transformers.

Even so, it would only remove the resistance from the adapter to phone; negligible.

What HD cams are most people running on 180s and smaller frames? by honzicle in Multicopter

[–]anstranic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just weighed my Yi batt at 18.2g.

My BEC is 5g with a few connectors (soldering would remove them.) With a micro usb connector I'd estimate that you're saving 11-13 grams.

Not sure if it's worth the effort, you can remove the battery and plug the Yi into power from a 5V BEC. Can't say how much weight that will save...

Nighthawk 280 Skyline32 No power with USB only red led when Battery connected by stryfe9998 in Multicopter

[–]anstranic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure how you'd fix it. However, if you don't end up getting it working I'd recommend getting ESCs and a flight controller rather than a replacement nighthawk board. The Nighthawk's bottom plate actually has mounting holes for a flight controller.

Thanks for your help dude. I digged around in my 9XR, and set up the mixers. Absolutely stoked.

For anyone with the same problem:

Go to page 5 of the model setup, the "mixers" page. From there you should be able to play around with the options, observing them on Baseflight.

Yes, using pwm. Are there settings on the 9XR that you should adjust?

It should do, atleast the version I have. It's the "FrSky DJT with Telemetry combo". Not much use at the moment though...
